Three New Flights, Two New Airlines, One New Cool Destination for DFW Airport Customers


Customers at Dallas Fort Worth International (DFW) Airport have three new, nonstop flights to Iceland just in time for the peak summer travel season. Two Icelandic-based airlines, Wow air and Icelandair, will begin flying from DFW to Reykjavík–Keflavík (KEF) International Airport in late May and American Airlines will launch its KEF flight in early June.

The addition of three routes to this beautiful new destination shows the strength of demand for international travel to and from North Texas."

WOW air Brings Back $69 Flights To Iceland For Summer And Fall 2018

WOW air, the ultra-low-cost transatlantic airline is offering American's $69 one-way fares from 13 cities in the United States to Iceland. The airline first introduced $69 one-way fares in 2017 and is excited to bring them back in time for summer and fall vacation planning.

The discounted flights will be available from Baltimore/Washington, D.C. (BWI), Chicago (ORD), Cleveland (CLE), Cincinnati (CVG), Detroit (DTW), New York (EWR & JFK), Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), St. Louis (STL), Pittsburgh (PIT), Boston (BOS), San Francisco (SFO) and Los Angeles (LAX) to Iceland (KEF). Fares go on sale today and will be offered for flights May 1, 2018—June 20, 2018 and September 1, 2018—October 27, 2018. Tickets can be purchased starting today at www.wowair.us.

WOW launches premium service.

 WOW air, Iceland's ultra-low-fare transatlantic airline has now introduced a new full-service type of ticket.  It's called 'Premium' and the airline hopes will appeal to business travellers as well as those travelling for leisure but seeking a little more comfort, convenience and service. 

This new fare offering is aimed directly at competing with rival airlines and business services offered on legacy carriers. 

The WOW premium ticket bundle includes: the WOW air BigSeat, featuring a wider seat with a footrest and at least 37 inches of legroom; priority boarding and fast-track security; an in-flight meal and drinks; two checked bags; one carry-on item; one personal item; and no change fee for rescheduling and cancellation protection.

WOW air To Launch $149 Flight Deal From JFK And EWR To Europe This Spring

The super low low-cost long-haul Icelandic airline WOW air, is offering some super low fares for American's heading to Europe to help celebrate the carriers new New York JFK flight launching on 27th April. 

WOW says passengers can, for a limited time book flights from JFK and Newark EWR to Iceland for $99 and or $149 to fly from EWR to Amsterdam (AMS), Berlin (SXF) and Paris (CDG) and from JFK to London (STN), Paris (CDG) and Amsterdam (AMS).

Tickets are on sale now and offered for flights departing April through June 2018.

Kennedy International Airport," said Skúli Mogensen, founder and CEO of WOW air. WOW New York JFK service coming in April 2018

 Iceland's other affordable airline with the pretty purple planes, WOW have confirmed that they will be starting a new service to New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport from this spring.  The inaugural flight is scheduled for the 26th April and fares from the UK to New York via Iceland start at just £99.

It is a similar price going the other way, our American friends can hop on over 'The pond' via sexy cool Iceland to destinations including Paris, Amsterdam, London Stansted, Frankfurt, Dublin, Copenhagen and Berlin for $99.

The fares are one-way and represent great value for money which are sure to be popular. The introduction of the service will also open up New Yorkers to flights to Reykjavik, Iceland and on to an additional 22 cities on their network.  The budget-conscious airline is also going to expand its  Newark Liberty International Airport operation with 13 flights per week starting May 2018.

Launched in November 2011, WOW air now connects 38 destinations across North America, Europe and the Middle East with the Icelandic capital. In 2016, WOW air flew with 1,668,773 passengers in total, which is an increase of 130% from 2015. The affordable airline is popular also, its been ranked as the 7th best low-cost airline in Europe at the 2013, 2014 and 2015 Skytrax World Airline Awards and was the youngest airline in the top ten. The airline operates an all Airbus fleet with A320, A321 and A330 models.

Major US expansion for WOW air next year!

The low-cost transatlantic Icelandic airline, WOW Air continues its North American expansion plans by offering a raft of new flights from iceland's  Keflavik International Airport to the US.

The new destinations are Detroit Metropolitan Airport, Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, Cincinnati and the rather lovely St. Louis Lambert International Airport.  The addition of these four routes brings the total Midwest destinations WOW flies to, to five.

Earlier this year, WOW air began service to Chicago's O'Hare International Airport and now with these four more flights, the airline's total number of U.S. destinations to 12.
