Concluded investment into global infrastructure and created a network of seven dedicated maintenance hubs across the U.S. and Europe

Vista, the world’s leading global private aviation group, provides a market update and overview into its robust performance for 2023, highlighting continued growth and progress across all areas of the business. Innovating the industry for 20 years through continuous investment in people, technology and infrastructure, the company has continued to expand its global footprint, enhanced its services and achieved record on-fleet flight hours.

Robust growth across all geographies

In 2023, Vista captured more market share in the private aviation sector, now with over 5% of total market share thanks to two decades of strong and consistent performance. In the last year alone, the company has grown its on-fleet hours globally by 17% to 200,000 hours through double-digit growth across all geographies. With an addressable market of over 24,000 business jets there is significantly more scope and opportunity for the Group to capture further market share.

Vista has increased its proportion of flight hours coming from Program subscription clients following three years of record momentum of new subscribers, making up around 60% of total on-fleet revenue for the Group. Program clients commit to a 3-year agreement, providing the company with long-term visibility on services required and revenue flow. During the year, the Group operated around 87,000 flights — 18% more YOY and 80% up against pre-pandemic levels— with the numbers expected to keep increasing in 2024.

Vista’s global presence continues to rise, with more than 50% of total flight hours coming from outside of the U.S.. In 2023 the company made the decision to expand its service area in Africa with dedicated aircraft to support demand in the region. The company also increased the number of aircraft serving Asia and the Middle East, and extended the offering for its Global 7500 Members, granting guaranteed availability of this game-changing aircraft on every major continent around the world. Vista is the only company that is capable of offering this industry-leading aircraft on a global scale and providing such guarantees.

Thomas Flohr, Founder and Chairman of Vista, said: “2023 was another year of successful performance in our business. Despite having to react to deep economic shifts and complex geopolitical uncertainty, we produced double digit growth across all markets — achieved whilst refurbishing and upgrading our fleet ahead of schedule, further improving our service standards and significantly increasing aircraft availability. Today, Vista is a truly global and recognizable brand all around the world thanks to the 20 years in which we have delivered an unmatched service to our clients, and we are well placed to further increase our market share over the next two decades.

The trust of our Program Members is driving our steady growth trajectory, with ever more remaining loyal to Vista than ever before. This provides us with consistent, visible, revenue streams and a strong client base. Our long tenure in this industry means we can anticipate and understand what global business leaders want when it comes to global travel.

Beyond the impressive commitment from our Members, I am equally proud of our team of 4,400 experts around the world who are fully committed in delivering the best service to our clients.”

Fleet optimization and refurbishment

The addressable market of over 24,000 underutilized jets highlights an opportunity to change the inefficiencies of the entire industry. By increasing the utilization rates of each aircraft, the Vista Members’ fleet of over 300 aircraft, is instead optimized to deliver the best service at the best possible rates.

VistaJet is celebrating the Year of the Dragon

VistaJet, the world’s first and only global business aviation company, is celebrating the Year of the Dragon by presenting three unforgettable journeys curated for the Lunar New Year.

The dragon in the Chinese zodiac symbolizes adventure, success and ambition, which reflect the entrepreneurial spirit that has propelled VistaJet’s continued expansion over the past 20 years.

Embark on new adventures in the Year of the Dragon

VistaJet works with hundreds of partners around the world to curate personalized itineraries for its Members. This Lunar New Year, VistaJet is collaborating with Entourage Collection, the private members’ concierge and travel company, to recommend three spectacular itineraries with VistaJet providing point-to-point travel.

“Traveling with VistaJet is not just about getting from one place to another. We discover what our clients are passionate about and integrate it before, during and after each flight. Journeys start when their silver and red aircraft takes off, and continue with a new adventure on the ground,” says Matteo Atti, Chief Marketing Officer at VistaJet.

Swiss Alps

Take to the slopes at Verbier, an exclusive Swiss Alps ski resort that features vistas of the Matterhorn and Mont Blanc mountains. This high-altitude escape is easily accessible for VistaJet Members via the town of Sion, just a short drive away. This experience blends seamless private travel with top-tier skiing, world-class dining and bespoke family festivities. The resort is home to luxury private chalets that offer an extraordinary family retreat.

Activities include heli-skiing, paragliding and a family horse-drawn sleigh ride. The New Year celebration will culminate with a lavish private meal against the perfect mountain backdrop, symbolizing the year's achievements.

Kenya, Victoria Falls and South Africa

This unforgettable expedition begins in Nairobi, Kenya with breakfast at the Giraffe Manor where Members will be greeted by the resident Rothschild’s giraffes, loved by visitors of all ages. Embark on a safari in the legendary Masai Mara National Reserve, home to lions, elephants and buffalos, and admire the sunrise on board a hot-air balloon.

Continue south on a scenic flight over the awe-inspiring Victoria Falls, before staying near the mighty Zambezi River. The Cape of South Africa is the grand finale, where Members can explore Cape Town, nearby wineries and the majestic Table Mountain.

Japan

In this fascinating journey, VistaJet Members will be immersed in the vibrancy of the bustling metropolis of Tokyo. Explore the city's dynamic energy before venturing to Hakone, situated at the foothills of Mount Fuji, to enjoy a soak at the rejuvenating hot springs and take in Japan's stunning natural scenery.

The journey continues to Kyoto, a city that beautifully showcases Japan's rich cultural heritage. Savor a traditional Japanese Lunar New Year feast with family and friends, creating enduring memories. Further embrace the culture with a private tea ceremony guided by a tea master, or experience the art of kenbu sword dancing dressed in traditional samurai attire.

Family feast at 45,000 feet

These Lunar New Year adventures would not be complete without a family feast, and VistaJet creates the best festive fine-dining experiences in aviation. The secret to maintaining the same impeccable taste in the air as on the ground is to rely on fresh, high-quality ingredients. These must be naturally high in flavor and retain their texture when reheated, to overcome the desensitization of taste buds that occurs in the air — at 45,000 feet, the perception of salt and sweetness is reduced by around 30%.

The VistaJet team works with world-renowned Michelin-starred chefs and restaurants to design a customized menu before each flight. Taste the difference when festive Chinese delights such as sticky rice dish Nian Gao are expertly paired with traditional Chinese teas, or when VistaJet’s signature Caviar Service is perfectly matched with Champagne, vodka or Japanese sake.

The Lunar New Year recommendations are part of VistaJet’s Private World portfolio, which includes exclusive experiences made available for VistaJet Members all year round. With guaranteed access to a fleet of over 300 aircraft including the ultra-long-haul Global 7500, that can fly 17 hours non-stop, VistaJet Members can take off anytime, to fly anywhere across the world.

Using Collins' LuxStream, which runs exclusively on the SES's high-throughput satellite (HTS) network, Vista customers can now enjoy fast, reliable, unlimited internet access for the duration of their flights.

Since 2019, Vista has installed LuxStream on more than 75 aircraft in its fleet. Now, LuxStream will be installed on more than 100 aircraft. The HTS hardware and solution, exclusive to Collins, allows customers to conduct video conference calls, stream videos, and send emails while inflight.

"Our relationships with Vista and SES deliver exceptional in-flight connectivity experiences to customers," said Jen Schopfer, president of Connected Aviation Solutions at Collins Aerospace. 2022 revenues up by 50% for Vista.....

Vista Global Holding, the world’s leading global private aviation group, provides a market update and overview into its exceptional performance for 2022, reflecting the positive trends across its dynamic global markets and unprecedented levels of demand from existing and new Members.

2022 was yet another outstanding year for Vista. The Group continues to see strong growth across its subscription solutions and services, with revenue up over 50% against the same period 2021. This has been driven by a surge of 74% in VistaJet’s Program membership gross hours sold during 2022, equating to over three times pre-pandemic levels, and gives great visibility on forward demand owing to three-year client signings.

Strong membership growth of subscription services around the world through market-leading VistaJet and XO brands, especially across Program membership with gross annual hours sold up 74% YOY and showing a run-rate at over 3x pre-COVID levels;

Significant continued investment in global infrastructure, scale and technology through landmark acquisitions of Air Hamburg, Jet Edge and Camber Technologies in 2022;

Additional 117 aircraft added to the Vista Members’ fleet in 2022, expanding to over 360 aircraft globally;

Strong momentum at the start of 2023 expected to continue across dynamic markets;

Investment in Dufour Aerospace to further support development of sustainable aviation technologies.

The strong performance reflects yet another year of record-breaking flying across all core markets despite a series of macroeconomic events as the total growth in fight numbers increased globally by 28% YOY. Regionally, the U.S saw a 41% increase in number of flights during 2022, with Asia, Europe and the Middle East up 69%, 29% and 22% respectively. New York became the number one location for number of flights during the year, followed by London and Paris.

Thomas Flohr, Vista’s Founder and Chairman said: “It has been an incredible 2022 for Vista with strong growth across all of our core regions and offerings during the year. Our 2022 results clearly show that Vista is the go-to solution for new and existing Members who are increasingly turning to asset-free offerings. We have hugely invested in our global infrastructure, ensuring our clients have the best aircraft available, across every corner of the world, backed by the latest technology.

Our strong performance is supported by a significant expansion of our fleet in 2022 to support our commitment of providing the best value to our clients. The landmark acquisitions of both Air Hamburg — the largest private jet operator in Europe by number of flights — and Jet Edge — the leading U.S. provider of large cabin and super-midsize charter and management services — significantly expanded our scale in the U.S., Europe and the Middle East, further cementing our leading global position. We also expanded our industry-leading Global 7500 fleet to 18. While our acquisition of Camber Technologies augments the Group’s existing technology capabilities to help further automate fleet scheduling, booking and sourcing.

As we start 2023, I am happy to announce Vista’s investment in Dufour Aerospace, supporting the development of sustainable aviation technologies and air mobility solutions with their innovative tilt-wing VTOL and eVTOL technologies and aerospace products, and reiterates our commitment to ensuring a greener future for our industry and clients.

I am incredibly excited for the future. More and more clients globally are recognizing that Vista provides the best value and end-to-end experience, and our expanded team of over 4,000 experts are fully committed to developing the next-era of innovative and advanced flying solutions across the globe. This will only strengthen Vista’s unrivaled customer offering and our position as the world’s largest on demand provider.”

The expansion of Vista’s global fleet has been critical in meeting the surge in demand. During 2022, Vista added 117 net aircraft, including even more Global 7500 jets, now at 18 — the world’s largest fleet of this game-changing aircraft —bringing the Vista Members’ fleet to over 360 aircraft around the world. To best service clients over the next decade, the Group continues its investment in an extensive refurbishment program across the fleet including the adoption of KU or KA band Wi-Fi on board all aircraft.

During 2022, Vista streamlined it global subscription offerings across both the VistaJet and XO brands, introducing the VistaJet VJ25 membership and XO Membership. The evolving portfolio of membership options ensures every private aviation client can find a simple, flexible and secure solution for their flying needs. The Group’s focus on integration to offer seamless global services is further underpinned with the roll-out of Vista Flight Support.

As a business Vista has renewed its commitment to cleaner aviation and is championing the industry to progressively address the sustainability challenges issues it is facing. It continues to advocate externally for the widespread adoption of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) in the industry, as demonstrated by its agreement with AEG Fuels to purchase SAF produced by OMV at Vienna International Airport.

VistaJet has partnered with its gastronomy partners, including Shangri-La Singapore and The Ritz Carlton, Hong Kong to provide unique Lunar New Year Experiences,

To celebrate Lunar New Year, the world’s first and only global business aviation company VistaJet has partnered with its gastronomy partners, including Shangri-La Singapore and The Ritz Carlton, Hong Kong to provide unique Lunar New Year Experiences, including tossing of the auspicious Lo Hei on board a private jet while cruising at 45,000 feet.

Lo Hei, which in Cantonese means ‘prosperity toss’, is a popular custom during Lunar New Year in Southeast Asia involving the festive Chinese dish Yu Sheng. Shangri-La’s Michelin-star Shang Palace has created special Lunar New Year menus for VistaJet flights from Singapore, selecting the freshest and finest ingredients used in Chinese cuisine, such as abalone, scallops, lobster, coral trout, and suckling pig.

Shang Palace’s executive chef Daniel Cheung says: “A reunion feast during the Lunar New Year is never complete without Yu Sheng, which signifies good luck, prosperity and hope for the coming year.” He says: “It is a symbolic dish, we have incorporated into the VistaJet menu, adding to the festive celebration for the ‘Year of the Rabbit’. It is interesting to inject an interactive dimension to VistaJet’s in-flight dining experience with a Lo Hei,” says Cheung, adding that “it is our pleasure to be collaborating with VistaJet this festive season!”

While VistaJet has partnered with Shangri-La Hotel for flights out of Singapore, it has partnered with The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong’s Michelin-star restaurant Tin Lung Heen for flights out of the territory.

For flights from Hong Kong, enjoy a traditional ‘Yum Cha’ (tea and dim sum), on the world’s highest dining table served by restaurant partner Tin Lung Heen, at The Ritz Carlton, Hong Kong. ‘Yum Cha’ on board a VistaJet flight from Hong Kong includes options such as the Steamed Pork and Shrimp Dumplings with Scallops and Jinhua Ham; and Steamed Alaskan Crab Meat Dumplings Topped with Salmon Roe. Give the ‘Yum Cha’ a sweet ending with a Double-Boiled Superior Bird Nest Served with Coconut Milk, Almond Cream and Syrup.

VistaJet’s unique Lunar New Year gastronomy experiences are further enhanced by unparalleled onboard service. Its international Cabin Hosts are trained by the British Butler Institute and the Wine & Spirit Education Trust.

“Lunar New Year is a very important period in many parts of Asia,” says VistaJet Chief Commercial Officer, Ian Moore. “Many are taking the opportunity to travel abroad for holidays. With the Chinese border now open, families can go back to China for reunions and corporations can send executives for business again. We are optimistic about the growth prospects for the region in 2023.”

VistaJet has already experienced a large year-on-year increase in passenger traffic in Asia Pacific — its flight traffic across Asia-Pacific grew 65% year-on-year for the first nine months of 2022, driven partly by growth in Southeast Asia. In 2022’s first three quarters, VistaJet posted a 376% year-on-year increase in Singapore flights, and compared to pre-pandemic 2019 figures this is up 40%. For the first three quarters of 2022, flight hours from Hong Kong have experienced 18% year-on-year growth and flight hours are up 20% compared to the first nine months in pre-pandemic 2019.

Vista, the parent company of VistaJet, is the world’s largest on demand provider for private flying with a Member’s fleet of more than 360 aircraft, including the largest fleet of Global 7500 aircraft, the world’s longest-range business jet. VistaJet flies to over 1,900 airports in 187 countries, covering 96% of the world.

VistaJet takes dining to new heights

The leading private aviation company redefines gastronomy in flight with expert scientific and artistic findings, signature seasonal menus and Michelin-starred partners

Photo VistaJet
At a table at 45,000 feet — higher than Mount Everest — is probably the highest you will ever dine. This is the unique experience offered by VistaJet, the first and only global business aviation company, allowing passengers to embark on a curated voyage through the finest delicacies in the world — on board and at their destination.

Even the greatest gourmand has to reset their senses when flying as the effects of altitude, lower humidity and increased noise and movement will have an effect, from metabolism to how we perceive different tastes. In particular, cabin air reduces the aroma that, together with taste, makes flavour — up to 80% of what people think is taste is, in fact, smell. Flying private, of course, does help to minimize the impact on the senses. At 45,000 feet, a VistaJet Global 7500 aircraft has an equivalent air pressure of only 4,500 feet and a controlled humidity level. But still, a difference can be noticeable.

Done well, food nourishes the heart and soul, body and mind. Why, then, is it so often the forgotten factor in the air — a necessity rather than a pleasure? Factors in flight are no reason to compromise.

“We have been on a journey to transform the private dining experience in the air — to make it something to savour”, says Diego Sabino, Vice President of Private Dining at VistaJet. “Simple things, big flavours and the best ingredients prepared and cooked to perfection will always travel well. We have explored the art and science of dining, so our Members can cherish time together on board, with the right taste, whatever the occasion.”

To ensure every passenger savours every bite, VistaJet’s expert eye to inspire the palate include:

Signature Seasonal Menus

VistaJet is focused on seasonality, health and wellbeing, continually evolving its menus for all — whether travelling for business, with family and friends, or celebrating a milestone — no matter where they are flying from.

Perception of salt and sweetness reduces by 30%; while humidity in the home is typically around 45%, in an aircraft it can be 20% or less, desensitizing taste buds. That is why VistaJet works with more than 7,000 trusted suppliers around the world: the finest producers and purveyors to source the freshest and highest quality ingredients and dishes. Every dish is prepared for in-flight, high-altitude dining.

Renowned Partners

Even top chefs need to change the way they think about food that will be served on board a flight. Many of our award-winning partners have reformulated their iconic dishes and created exclusive meals to taste perfect in a VistaJet cabin.

Working with over 100 of the most sought-after private chefs and Michelin-starred restaurants for those special moments both in the sky and on the ground, our renowned Private World partners include a gateway to the most enlightening dishes — the revered Nobu Matsuhisa offering a new and exclusive dish onboard flights from the U.S.; Michelin-starred Alex Dilling from his eponymous restaurant at Hotel Café Royal in London; the inspired Nuhma Tuazon in New York; the delectable Tosca di Angelo at The Ritz Carlton in Hong Kong; the specialist Bon Soirée onboarding dishes from England; the legendary Zeffirino in Genoa, Italy; Chef Ivan Alvarez at the picturesque Ithaafushi — The Private Island, Maldives; the considered Origin Grill at the Shangri-La in Singapore; and a partnership with Taj Hotels around the world, including their Michelin-starred Chef Sriram of London’s Quilon, Varq at Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, The Palm Dubai, House of Ming at Taj Mahal Hotel New Delhi, Wasabi by Morimoto at Taj Mahal Palace Mumbai, and Thai Pavilion at the President, Mumbai.

The Little Book of Dining in the Sky

It is nearly impossible to recreate our favourite restaurant in the sky, and nor should we try — there are obvious limitations to space and cooking facilities, in addition to how food tastes, smells, looks and feels. But this is no reason to compromise.

The Little Book of Dining in the Sky explores the art and science behind eating well with VistaJet. Tasting notes, jet chef secrets, travel wellness, the jet kitchen and service suggestions for whomever you are dining with. The musings and expert advice are all aimed at helping you discover the pleasures of the table, at altitude.

The Process and Unparalleled Service

The story behind how food gets from the farm to fork in flight is one of attention to detail across the entire supply chain. It is impossible to recreate the environment of a world-class kitchen in the sky, but we aim to come as close as possible.

As soon as your flight is booked, VistaJet’s Private Dining team will propose bespoke menus for you to choose from.
Sourcing specific ingredients can take a full day, while up to six hours might be needed to take food from the kitchen to the aircraft. Menus are finalised at least 24 hours before departure to ensure sourcing and preparation standards.
The private chef or restaurant starts creating the dishes. At this point any allergies, intolerances or other dietary needs will have been checked several times.
Hot dishes are freshly prepared by hand and par-cooked. Ingredients are packed into over-ready containers, and then blast-chilled to lock in taste, texture and freshness.
The meals are couriered to the departure airport in refrigerated vehicles and loaded onto the jet around 90 minutes before departure. VistaJet flies from 1,900 airports in 187 countries — about 96% of the world.
In the air, the VistaJet Cabin Host will finish cooking the food before it is expertly presented and served to passengers. All VistaJet Cabin Hosts are trained by the British Butler Institute, certified up to Level 2 in wine and spirits training and are food-safety qualified. They have also received expert plating tutorials from chefs specializing in different cuisines.

Vista, the private jet provider, has added over 100 aircraft during first half of 2022

Vista Global Holding (Vista), the world’s largest On Demand provider, gives a market update and overview into its performance for the first half of 2022 as the Group’s impressive growth trajectory continued, leading to a record first six months across all key metrics.

In the first half of 2022, Vista reported double-digit growth despite the challenging macro-economic backdrop, driven primarily by a 43% year-on-year growth across its combined subscription Member base. Sales across VistaJet’s subscription Program reached all-time highs — a 25% increase in VistaJet Members has driven a 76% growth in gross Program hours sold during H1 2022 year-on-year and 27% higher than pre-pandemic full year 2019. The number of XO’s Deposit Members also continued increasing 33% against the same time last year. The recently acquired Jet Edge further expands the Group’s Member base with the addition of a further 400 unique Deposit Members through the brand’s Reserve program.

Thomas Flohr, Vista’s Founder and Chairman said: “It has been an impressive start to 2022 for Vista as we continue to grow across all markets globally, particularly in the United States. As business aviation remains robust, we have seen huge demand as clients turn to Vista for their flying needs.

Contract sizes continue to grow as clients add hours to fulfil their flying requirements around the world. Vista’s trusted brands, shared economy model, asset light offerings away from full or fractional ownership and proprietary technology create superior client value and elevated end-to-end experience.

VistaJet progresses its sustainability initiatives and calls on business aviation to accelerate transition to net zero

 VistaJet, the first and only global business aviation company, has renewed its commitment to cleaner aviation, its pledge to be carbon neutral by 2025, and its resolve to address sustainability issues in the industry. To capture the progress the company has made with its market-leading environmental sustainability initiatives, VistaJet has published “A 2022 Action Handbook for Change in Business Aviation”.

The whitepaper, which can be read in full here, was developed in collaboration with climate solutions provider and carbon project developer South Pole. It examines in detail how the aviation sector should respond to the climate crisis and identifies real solutions, including the most effective ways for private jet companies to minimize the industry’s carbon footprint. It also looks at aviation’s current and potential future environmental impact, analyses the industry’s plan and provides concrete recommendations for businesses in the sector. At a top-level, airlines need to:

Increase adoption of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), which is key to aviation’s decarbonization pathway and can reduce carbon emissions by up 85%;
Demonstrate transparency and progress through auditing greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) and report in line with the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD);
Complement the reduction of greenhouse gas through investing in climate action projects that adhere to the highest standards and drive the transformation towards a net zero future, while also catalyzing positive impact on local communities.
VistaJet’s whitepaper also provides updates on the significant progress the company has made towards its 2025 carbon neutrality goal, how it manages climate-related risks, and how VistaJet goes beyond compliance with environmental regulations to provide a more sustainable flying solution for its customers. Since VistaJet’s last update in April 2021, the business has:

Maximized fleet optimization to improve fuel-efficient consumption by 8%;
Refined its fleet sharing model to continue driving fleet efficiencies;
Added 10 new Global 7500 aircraft, the first business jet to have a third-party verified Environmental Product Declaration (EPD);
Worked to make the adoption of carbon offsetting by VistaJet Members grow to over 85%;
Ensured single-use items are kept to a bare minimum, having achieved an over 90% reduction in their use;
Continued to advocate externally for the widespread adoption of SAF in the industry;
Continued its policy of full transparency, publishing in full its GHG and TCFD reports.
Thomas Flohr, Founder and Chairman of VistaJet, said: “The business aviation sector finds itself at a critical juncture. Together as an industry we can reshape the way we conduct business, whilst providing an unparalleled level of service to our customers. We are proud of the progress we have made at VistaJet and we hope that others will take our recommendations to heart. Businesses are rightfully being held accountable for their environmental impact, and with the publication of “A 2022 Action Handbook for Change in Business Aviation” VistaJet hopes to not only showcase what we believe needs to be done and how it can be done but also demonstrate that transparency in action is key.”
