HALO Space Announces Second Test Flight, Accelerating Mission to Transform Space Tourism

HALO Space, a global space tourism company developed via Arthur D. Little’s Breakthrough Incubator Program, has announced the next stage of its journey towards the launch of its innovative edge-of-space experience. HALO Space’s second test will take place in southern Spain this year after its first test flight in India was completed successfully last December.

HALO Space is committed to enabling 10,000 passengers in this decade to experience the “Overview Effect”, where both the Earth’s curvature and the darkness of space can be observed. From 2025, HALO Space will lift eight passengers per flight up to 40 kilometres into the stratosphere for a transformative experience that will last four to six hours.

Eve announces Halo Aviation as the launch customer for its Urban Air Traffic Management solution

Eve announces Halo Aviation as the launch customer for its Urban Air Traffic Management solution

Eve Holding, announced yesterday at Farnborough, that it entered into a letter of intent with Halo Aviation a provider of bespoke private Urban Air Mobility travel services, to collaborate in the development and launch Eve's Urban Air Traffic Management software solution. As part of the agreement, Halo will acquire the software from Eve with the objective of using the software to maximize its UAM operations. It is the first LOI for Eve's state-of-the-art UATM solution, which will unlock the value and network performance of the UAM market to enable the safe scalability of the industry. The companies also intend to develop an operational model to be deployed in specific missions and regions in the United States and the United Kingdom where Halo operates.

Andrew Collins, President and CEO of Halo, said: "Eve has demonstrated why they are going to lead the next generation of flight, and we are extremely excited about this. Halo is happy to form a unique and collaborative partnership with Eve as they have spent so much time focused on more than just the manufacturing of an eVTOL vehicle but, rather, they are working to deploy a series of agnostic solutions that will significantly drive the creation and overall network performance of UAM. In this particular case, we look forward to collaborating with Eve's team to bring our current operational insight as a leader in the vertical lift in the US and the UK to help develop and promote Eve's UATM vision."

"We believe that collaborations such as ours are vital to fostering a thriving UAM market that will benefit communities and passengers with a new and additional mode of transport. Eve's agnostic portfolio of solutions addresses the complexity of UAM networks, which require holistic and integrated services across the ecosystem that connect stakeholders to maintain and improve safety, optimise performance, and reduce operating costs. Halo's outstanding travel services, coupled with our solutions, make this partnership extremely promising," said Andre Stein, co-CEO of Eve.

In June of last year, the companies announced the commencement of their partnership focused on developing UAM products and services, as well as Halo's non-binding commitment to order up to 200 of Eve's eVTOLs (electric vertical take-off and landing vehicle). Eve's UATM software is part of an agnostic portfolio of solutions that will enable the integration of all airspace users in the urban environment, which is critical to supporting the safety, efficiency, and improvement of the entire UAM ecosystem, including fleet and vertiport operators. This new collaboration reinforces Eve's and Halo's commitment to safely integrating and scaling global UAM operations. Eve expects to start its eVTOL deliveries in 2026.

Halo becomes first global provider for private urban air mobility with 200 eVTOL aircraft order from Embraer’s Eve Urban Air Mobility Solutions

Halo, the first global provider for private urban air mobility, has placed a firm order of 200 Eve Urban Air Mobility vehicles, making it the launch customer for this aircraft. The electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft have an expected delivery date in 2026. One hundred of the vehicles will be used for operations in the United States and 100 will operate in the United Kingdom.

Halo becomes Eve’s launch partner in building the world’s first comprehensive urban air mobility system. The order establishes Eve, an independent company formed by Embraer S.A., as the leader in a global eVTOL market that is growing rapidly in response to enthusiasm around sustainability and vertical mobility.

In addition, Halo announced the alignment of U.K.-based Halo Aviation Ltd. (Halo) and U.S.-based Associated Aircraft Group (AAG) under the Halo brand. Both companies had been acquired earlier this year by OneSky Flight, a member of the Directional Aviation family. The alignment ensures consistent service for Halo’s clients travelling in two of the world’s leading global centres of business. In addition, Halo will provide streamlined experiences for world-travelling clients of sister companies in the Directional Aviation family of brands: Flexjet, Sentient Jet, PrivateFly and FXAIR.

Directional Aviation’s OneSky Flight acquires U.K.-based helicopter travel provider Halo Aviation

Directional Aviation’s OneSky Flight, acquires U.K.-based helicopter travel provider Halo Aviation

Halo Aviation

Luxury fractional jet provider Flexjet and jet card pioneer Sentient Jet,  have a new sister company, Halo Aviation Ltd. -  a leading provider of helicopter transportation services in the United Kingdom.

Earlier this year the group purchased Associated Aircraft Group (AAG), a provider of executive Sikorsky helicopter services in the Northeastern United States. These moves position Flexjet, Sentient Jet and their sister companies, FXAIR and PrivateFly, on-demand jet charter providers in both the U.S. and Europe, to become leaders in vertical flight, further expanding their offerings and global operations.

Halo and AAG, both manage fleets of some of the finest helicopters in the world and are leading providers of vertical lift and urban mobility services in their respective nations. This move will inject a new group of customers from Flexjet, the second-largest fractional jet provider in the world, and Sentient Jet, which has 8,000 active jet cardholders and will pave the way for a unique end-to-end travel solution not offered by any other provider. The structure of these companies and their relationships to each other will offer differentiators in the market that other brands will not be able to duplicate – from the safety of flying managed fleets to the packaging of end-to-end flight solutions – these acquisitions will rebrand what the private jet traveller will want in a provider.
