Billed as the new "Silk Road in the sky" the Beijing to Lisbon route commenced on 25th July this year and fills the gap in terms of the growing need for a direct flight between the two countries and is an important step in Beijing Capital Airlines' development strategy as well as helping  to implement the Chinese government's silk road in the sky initiative.
