United Opens Two New Clubs in Denver, Including Its Largest Club in the World

New 35,000 sq.ft. United Club at Denver International Airport debuts as the airline's largest club, coinciding with the airline's nearly $1 billion investment to improve the customer experience in Denver

United Opens Two New Clubs in Denver, Including Its Largest Club in the WorldUnited today announced the opening of its largest United Club at Denver International Airport. This new, 35,000 sq.-ft. club is located in the B Concourse, providing a modern take on the United Club experience with a new feature bar offering beer flight boards to taste a seasonal rotation of premium local and craft beers. This club is the second in a series of new locations to open in Denver this summer; last month, a new 24,000 sq.-ft. United Club opened in the A Concourse, featuring a luxurious ski lodge aesthetic and thoughtful design touches inspired by the Colorado outdoors.

The air carrier will open an additional revamped club location in 2025, and once open, Denver International Airport will feature more than 100,000 sq.-ft. of United Club space – nearly the size of two football fields – across three United Club locations and United Club Fly, a unique grab-and-go concept offering enhanced food and beverage for United Club members with quick connections. With more than two-thirds of United customers connecting to other places in Denver, the new clubs are expected to accommodate more than double the number of travelers than before.

The opening of these new clubs comes on the heels of United unveiling a new club concept, United Club FlySM, in Denver last year, that is a first-of-its-kind concept for a U.S. airline. Since opening, United Club Fly has been visited by more than 100,000 travelers who've enjoyed the elevated convenience to grab food or beverages on the way to their flight.

"The new United Club locations are designed and operated to reflect feedback from our customers and match the way their travel has evolved in recent years," said Alexander Dorow, United's Head of Clubs & Lounges. "We're growing our hub in the Mile High City, and the expansion and renovation of United Club locations represents our commitment to Colorado and our customers' experience."

B Concourse United Club

Located on the eastern side in the B Concourse near gate B44, this new club location touts 35,000 sq.-ft. across three levels and more than 600 seats, making it the largest club in United's network. The space reflects Denver's beer scene with brewery-inspired elements and a new beer tasting experience at the feature bar on the mezzanine level. At the feature bar, travelers can choose from a seasonal rotation of 10 local and craft beers on tap, with selections from Colorado breweries New Belgium, Great Divide, Denver Beer Company, Upslope, among others, to enjoy from United customized tasting boards and beer glasses. The feature bar area is distinguished by five Vestaboards displaying personalized messages and menu offerings and a custom, vibrant blue mural by visual artist Charlo Garcia Walterbach that explores the joy and discovery of new places that travel brings to life.

United Customers Can Grab-and-Go at New Airport Club in Denver

United has opened a new club concept at Denver International Airport designed for busy travellers who want to grab a snack, beverage or barista-made coffee on the way to their flight. United Club FlySM is a first-of-its-kind concept for a U.S. airline and gives a guilt-free option to the more than half of airport club and lounge visitors who like to take snacks to go1. This new format comes on the heels of United opening new club locations in Newark Liberty International Airport and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, and reflects the airline's larger ambitions to create a bespoke club experience that meets the unique needs of travellers across its network.

"United Club Fly is all about elevated convenience. We know there are times when our members are in a hurry and use our clubs to sneak a quick drink or snack, so we've created this new format to make it easy for them to do that without sacrificing an upscale club environment," said Marketing & Loyalty VP and MileagePlus President, Luc Bondar. "In Denver, more than two-thirds of our customers are connecting to other places, making it the ideal city to introduce this concept."

The new club occupies a smaller footprint than a traditional United Club, and it's conveniently located on a highly visible corner of the new Concourse B-East expansion. The market-style club features a variety of non-alcoholic drinks, premium snacks and even a place to order a favorite barista-made coffee beverage.

Here's how United Club Fly works:

Scan to enter: Self-scan your boarding pass at the automated entry gates.
Select a snack…or two: Choose from a selection of premium food options curated with an on-the-go flyer in-mind, such as sandwiches, salads and wraps, yoghurt, vegetables, fruit and more.
Order a barista-crafted coffee: Skip infamously long airport coffee lines and instead get your caffeine fix at the club's full-service coffee bar, serving hand-crafted coffee beverages brewed with illy coffee blend.
Self-service beverage counter: Find your favourite nonalcoholic beverages, including sparkling water, soft drinks, iced tea, juices and more. A reusable water bottle filling station is also available.
Skip checkout lines: Simply take the few items you've selected and walk out the exit turnstile – nothing more is needed.
As part of United's ongoing commitment to renovate and introduce new United Club locations throughout its network and provide a more modern United brand experience, United Club Fly in Denver presents a contemporary design that celebrates the region – a proud United hub for more than 30 years. The ski lodge-inspired space includes art and furnishings sourced from local artists and companies. The air carrier plans to collaborate with additional local businesses in the future to feature unique, seasonal items throughout the year.

United Club members, travellers in premium cabins flying internationally and United Club one-time pass holders will have access to United Club Fly. United Airlines to Offer Denver Travelers More Flights to More Places Than Ever Before

United Airlines recently hosted an event in partnership with Denver International Airport (DEN) celebrating the recent decision from Denver City Council to approve the lease of an additional 24 gates by the airline at DEN, paving the way for local travellers to access more flights to more places than ever before. United Airlines CEO Oscar Munoz joined Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock to sign United's proposal to amend its current lease, solidifying United's plans to grow its Denver hub from 500 to as many as 700 daily flights by 2025. The additional gates are a combination of newly constructed and existing gates, and part of DEN's $1.5 billion Concourse Expansion Program.

"United Airlines is a vital partner for Denver International Airport, and we're proud they are continuing to invest and grow right here in Denver," said Mayor Michael B. Hancock. "As United increases daily flights and continues to add new routes, they are creating economic opportunities that benefit our entire community."
