Gogo Business Aviation and Atlas Air Service will join forces to develop the first European Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for the Gogo Galileo HDX antenna for the Cessna CitationJet

Gogo Business Aviation and Atlas Air Service will join forces to develop the first European Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for the Gogo Galileo HDX antenna for the Cessna CitationJet series of light jet aircraft and another STC for the Embraer Phenom 300.

"For the first time ever, a true global broadband service will be available to thousands of aircraft operators in Europe and around the world," said Radu Grigore, deputy director of MRO commercial for Atlas Air Service AG. "For many years our customers have been asking for a small and affordable broadband solution for their aircraft. We wanted to be among the first to partner with Gogo to develop these STCs and bring true broadband inflight Wi-Fi for every segment of business aviation."

The STCs will cover more than 2,600 total aircraft in operation today worldwide, comprised of more than 1,850 Citations and 750 Phenom 300s.

Highlighting the small form factor and ease of installation, beginning in April, Atlas Air Service will focus its initial STC on the Cessna Citation 525 series of aircraft encompassing the CJ1, CJ2, CJ3, and CJ4, with hardware installations expected this summer on a CJ1+.

NetJets orders 100 Embraer Phenom 300 series executive jets


Embraer and NetJets, have signed a deal for up to 100 additional aircraft, in excess of $1.2 billion and as part of the deal, NetJets will begin taking delivery of the Phenom 300E in the second quarter of 2023, in both the U.S. and Europe. 

NetJets first signed a purchase agreement with Embraer in 2010, for 50 Phenom 300 executive jets plus up to 75 options. With this new aircraft order, which includes a comprehensive services agreement, NetJets signifies their commitment to an enhanced customer experience and their trust in Embraer’s industry-leading portfolio and customer support network to deliver the ultimate experience to its customers.

The Embraer Phenom 300 is the World’s Most Delivered Light Jet for Eight Consecutive Years

Embraer Executive Jets delivered 51 Phenom 300 and Phenom 300E light jets in 2019, making it the most delivered light jet of the year. This is the eighth consecutive year that the Phenom 300 achieves this mark, having accrued more than 530 deliveries since entering the market in December 2009. The information was released today by the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA).

“Today’s delivery milestone only reinforces the success of this phenomenal aircraft platform, which recently received further performance, comfort and technology enhancements,” said Michael Amalfitano, President & CEO, Embraer Executive Jets. “Though it’s already the best-selling light jet in the world, we kicked off the new decade by making the Phenom 300E even better to achieve our fundamental goal of delivering the ultimate customer experience in business aviation.”

Emirates at the 2018 Bahrain International Airshow to be largest ever

On the eve of the Bahrain International Airshow (BIA), Emirates says it is ready for its largest participation yet at the show which takes place between 14th & 16th November. 

This is the first time the airline will showcase its 100th A380, which is emblazoned with the HH Sheikh Zayed decal as a tribute to the late founding father of the UAE.  The aircraft on display will allow both trade visitors and the general public to explore all the features on this latest generation double-decker, including Emirates’ refreshed OnBoard Lounge.

The Emirates Flight Training Academy, which was inaugurated one year ago at the Dubai Airshow, will also participate at this year’s Bahrain Airshow with an Embraer Phenom 100EV jet on display, one of the Academy’s twin-engine training aircraft. The Emirates Flight Training Academy is a state-of-the-art facility that was developed by Emirates to meet the global aviation industry’s requirement for skilled commercial pilots. The Academy provides advanced learning technologies and training aircraft that provide opportunities for training cadets to develop and sharpen their flying knowledge and skills.
