Air Tahiti Nui expands new Seattle service to Paris

 

After the inauguration of its new Seattle-Tahiti service on 5th October, Air Tahiti Nui has revealed plans to extend this new biweekly Seattle service to Paris. 

Starting on June 12th, 2023, Air Tahiti Nui will operate a new biweekly seasonal service to Paris from its Papeete base via the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

This new service to and from Paris will be combined with the five rotations programmed via Los Angeles, allowing Air Tahiti Nui to offer a total of 7 weekly flights between Paris and Papeete from June to August 2023.

 

The new seasonal service will operate the following schedule:

Papeete - Seattle 11:45 p.m. 12:10 p.m. (+1) Monday, Friday
Seattle - Paris 2:35 p.m. 9:05 a.m. (+1) Tuesday, Saturday
Paris - Seattle 12:05 p.m. 1:20 p.m. Wednesday, Sunday
Seattle - Papeete 3:35 p.m. 10:05 p.m. Wednesday, Sunday

 

 

Mathieu Bechonnet, Managing Director, says that “this extension to Paris for the next summer season is subject to approval. It will allow us to better optimize our resources and offer our customers new options to reach Tahiti or Paris. During the summer 2023, our Los Angeles and Seattle hubs will also propose a total of 13 flights per week between the US and Tahiti.”

Air Tahiti Nui gest first 787-9 Dreamliner

The impressive South Pacific airline, Air Tahiti Nui has received its first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner from Boeing, via a special lease deal with Air Lease Corp. 

The airline will use the longest-range Dreamliner to replace its older Airbus A340s connecting its home base in the South Pacific with world capitals such as Paris, Tokyo and Los Angeles. The carrier has configured the new fleet arrival with 294 seats spread over three classes. The cabin features a new business class equipped with 30 fully lie-flat seats, along with 32 premium economy seats.

As we celebrate our 20th anniversary this year, the 787 Dreamliner will guide us toward another successful 20 years and beyond."

RFID Technology helps Air Tahiti Nui speed up inspections

Air Tahiti Nui is taking safety seriously with a new hi-tech way of cutting down inspection times for lifejackets on its Airbus A340-300 aircraft.  The airline has installed RFID tags on the life vests across the entire fleet of A340-300's using EAM RFID's TagControl Solution. 

The RFID technology will allow the airline to cut down inspection times from 5 hours to just 10 minutes, it will also enable the carrier to improve the traceability of cabin safety equipment and increase the rapidity of inspections - previously every three months, but now it can be done monthly, making it even safer!

Air Tahiti Nui Introduces New Tahitian Dreamliners for Worldwide Distribution and Sales


                              Air Tahiti Nui introduced its new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner cabin layout in the Global Distribution System (GDS) for worldwide distribution and sales. In 2015, the flag carrier of French Polynesia finalized a purchase order for two 787-9 Dreamliners and the lease of two additional 787-9s through Air Lease Corporation. The new "Tahitian Dreamliner" will be available starting November 2018 on its first flights between Tahiti and Auckland, New Zealand.

The phasing out of Air Tahiti Nui's current Airbus A340-300 fleet will commence in November 2018 and be completed by September 2019, coinciding with the airline's 20th anniversary.
