Authorities at Hamburg have closed the airport to arrivals and departures tonight due to a hostage situation.
Police issued a statement indicating they are dealing with a situation at the airport following reports that a car with a man and a child inside drove through a security gate. According to local reports, special forces have been deployed to the airport and shots have been fired in the air at least twice.
