Porter Airlines spreading its wings to Winnipeg & St. John’s





The Canadian regional airline Porter has started to spread its wings even further as it plans for mass expansion into the  jet travel market from Toronto's Pearson International Airport

From 7th September, Porter will start a double daily service to Winnipeg Richardson International Airport using state-of-the-art, 132-seat Embraer E195-E2 aircraft.

“Winnipegers will soon have access to Porter’s elevated economy experience, an option that doesn’t exist in Winnipeg today,” said Kevin Jackson, executive vice president and chief commercial officer, Porter Airlines. “Porter has been recognized as having the best cabin service in North America, and we provide that award-winning service to every passenger at highly competitive fares.”

According to the airline, the onboard experience includes complimentary beer and wine served in real glassware, a selection of free premium snacks, fast streaming WiFi, and no middle seats. In addition to this,  the all-inclusive PorterReserve fare includes fresh, healthy meals, and features such as the ability to change flights without a fee, dedicated check-in, extra legroom, and two checked bags. For travellers who want to choose specific features to fit their needs, the PorterClassic fare offers these perks à la carte.

on 6th September the airline starts a daily flight to St John's from Toronto, which again are set to be operated on the new Embraer E195-E2 jets. 

“St. John’s has been an important destination in our Eastern Canada network for many years. With the introduction of the E195 to our fleet and non-stop service to Toronto Pearson, Porter now connects St. John’s from coast to coast. ,” said Kevin Jackson, executive vice president and chief commercial officer. “St. John’s knows Porter provides a level of onboard service that is unmatched by any other carrier and we’re excited to now offer our elevated economy service for them to Toronto-Pearson and Western Canada. ”
