$20 million in new funding for The Earthshot Prize
As the dust settles on The Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit held in New York on Wednesday, it’s a chance to reflect on some of the incredible announcements and discussions that took place.
Speakers from around the world, including New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Arden, Actor and ActivistMatt Damon, US Ambassador to AustraliaCaroline Kennedy and Prize Council Member Cate Blanchet, convened to showcase the groundbreaking solutions needed to tackle the world’s most pressing environmental challenges, and the progress of our 2021 finalists.
Bloomberg Philanthropies also announced more than $20 million in new funding to help turbocharge the work of the inaugural Earthshot Prize Winners and Finalists.
And in a pre-recorded speech Prince William, called for collaboration and courage to repair and restore the planet.
