Ukraine Airlines has continued to operate, albeit with limited special and charter flights despite the Russian invasion and war currently decimating the country.
In recent weeks, the airline continue to support flight activity outside of Ukraine. At the beginning of the month, Fly UIA provided transportation for the Estonian National Basketball Team and its fans to the qualifying tournament in Tel Aviv.
And in the same period, a joint charter programme was launched with the Polish tour operator Itaka. This will see a Boeing 737-900 UR-PSL fly both from the base in Katowice and from other cities in Poland - Warsaw, Krakow, and Rzeszow. The UIA aircraft will provide service to a number of European tourist destinations (Malaga, Arrecife, Antalya, Tenerife, Tirana, Las Palmas and Djerba). The airline has also operated flights for Latvian carrier airBaltic.
