British Airways cancels 1,500 more flights

The UK's British Airways has axed another 1,500 flights over the next couple of months as the airline struggles to cope with demand and a shortage of staff.  The carrier has already removed around 10% of scheduled flights until October, but it was "regrettably" having to make more reductions.

"We took pre-emptive action earlier this year to reduce our summer schedule to provide customers with as much notice as possible about any changes to their travel plans. As the entire aviation industry continues to face into the most challenging period in its history, regrettably it has become necessary to make some further reductions." a spokesperson for BA said on Tuesday.
