American Airlines sued over lost or stolen booze.....

The U.S. mega carrier American Airlines is being sued by globally known drinks maker Bacardi over a missing consignment of French Cognac worth over $65,000.

According to the court papers, Bacardi gave American Airlines 24 pallets containing 1,680 cases of the expensive liquor for transportation on a flight from Paris to Los Angeles International Airport. However, 400 cases never reached their destination and were either lost or stolen according to the drinks maker.

Bacardi contests the airline is responsible for the loss and has not reimbursed it for the drink and is therefore forced to take the carrier to court over the matter.

American Airlines has refused to comment on the matter.
