airBaltic starts flights to Valencia

Latvian airline airBaltic has today launched its inaugural flights connecting Riga with the Spanish city of Valencia. The carrier will operate the service twice a week with its Airbus A220-300 aircraft.

Valencia could be described as the undiscovered gem of Spain. Although this is the third biggest city in the country, you won’t see hundreds or tourists or wait in line for attractions here. Instead, you will have the chance to try one of best paellas you’ve ever had, wander around the city to discover its hidden corners and spend time in sunny beaches.

It’s a fact – sun is shining here 300 days per year with an average temperature of almost 18ºC, which makes Valencia the perfect sunny getaway. Valencia is also famous for its food – you probably haven’t tried a traditional Spanish paella as good as ones served here and locally grown oranges could be the sweetest you have ever had. Take a stroll around the city and its old town to discover the beautiful architecture with a modern twist – if you look carefully, you’ll definitely spot colourful street art murals.
