airBaltic introduces digital SKY Service
The Riga based Latvian airline airBaltic has improved its onboard service, by introducing airBaltic SKY Service – a platform that will be available for all passengers during the flight via their mobile devices.
Martin Gauss, Chief Executive Officer of airBaltic: “As an airline, we are constantly working to improve the passenger experience starting from the flight booking until departure at the desired destination. By introducing the airBaltic SKY Service, we are taking a step forward in offering our passengers a more personalized service, and the possibility of adding various new functionalities in the future.”
airBaltic SKY Service will enable passengers to use their mobile devices to order items from the onboard menu as well as airBaltic Sky Shop, check company’s current destinations and ticket prices, sign up for the airBaltic Club loyalty program. Passengers will also be able to read Baltic Outlook magazine and the inspirational airBaltic Blog. The range of items on the app looks impressive, as does the food in the promotional pictures.
The Latvian government-owned airline has also recently improved its delayed or damaged baggage service with another online self-service platform for communication between the passenger and the airline.
Gauss said: “Even though we take an extra care of the passenger baggage and in more than 98% of cases it reaches its destination safely and on time, sometimes the baggage may get delayed or damaged. In such cases our customer care team provides professional care, and works to trace and deliver the baggage as well as reimburse passenger’s expenses.”
Thanks to the new service, passengers now can establish or manage reports, track their delayed baggage at the self-service website available at https://mybag.aero/baggage/#/airbaltic/en-gb/main-menu.
