Madeira and Malta added to UK's Green List......

Madeira and Malta are two popular holiday destinations that have been added to the green list of safe destinations by the UK Government on Thursday evening.

The announcement was made by Transport Secretary Grant Shapps, who advised that the changes would take effect from 4am on 30th June. He also stated that the government was also looking at the possibility of allowing those who had been fully vaccinated to even enjoy quarantine-free travel from amber list countries later this summer.

Spain's Balearic Islands and Barbados were also among the places being added to the UK's green travel list, whilst six destinations have been added to the red list - Dominican Republic, Eritrea, Haiti, Mongolia, Tunisia and Uganda.

The destinations added to the green list:

The Balearic Islands - Menorca, Majorca, Ibiza and Formentera
Barbados
Bermuda
British Antarctic Territory
British Indian Ocean Territory
The British Virgin Islands
Cayman Islands
Dominica
Grenada
Madeira
Malta
Montserrat
Pitcairn Islands
Turks and Caicos Islands
