You'll be able to feel the Breeze from May 27............new U.S. airline set to launch.

It has been a while in the planning and now a new airline is breezing into operation from a management team that has a rich history and a wealth of knowledge of the aviation and hospitality industries.

Breeze Airways is a new airline that plans to merge technology with kindness and provide a route network between underserved cities across the U.S. at affordable fares. The new startup says seamless booking, no change or cancellation fees and customized flight features delivered via a sleek and simple app is what will set it apart from its competitors.

The Breeze leadership team is made up of:

David Neeleman, Breeze founder and CEO, is a serial airline entrepreneur. He’s the only person we can think of who has launched four successful airline start-ups (Azul, JetBlue, Westjet and Morris Air) and who, with Breeze, is now on his fifth.

Tom Anderson, Chief Operating Officer, who is leading Breeze’s operations, having worked previously at Azul, Virgin America, JetBlue, Airbus and Boeing.

Lukas Johnson, Chief Commercial Officer, who is overseeing marketing and route strategy, coming to Breeze from Allegiant.

Trent Porter, Chief Financial Officer, who is looking after all things financial, coming to us from Allegiant and US Airways.

John Varley, Chief People Officer and General Counsel, looking after legal and human resources, previously with Virgin America, Delta and ExpressJet.

Amy Curtis-McIntyre, brand management and marketing advisor, formerly at JetBlue, Airbnb, Hyatt and Virgin Atlantic.

The airline is launching with a small fleet (13) of Embraer E190 and E195 aircraft with orders for 80 Airbus A220 jets to start delivery later this year.

The airline is having a soft launch with a couple of routes starting on 27th May and a lot more coming online in July. The first routes are Tampa-Charleston; Tampa-Louisville, Kentucky; Charleston-Hartford, Connecticut; Charleston-Tampa, and Charleston-Louisville. The airlines lead in fares are $39 one way on each route and when we checked earlier on Saturday, there seemed plenty of availability on each route.

As a core food selection, Breeze will offer Utz Original Potato Chips on its flights, Utz says it is pleased to serve as a core food selection on Breeze Airways flights. Celebrating its 100th year anniversary, Utz Potato Chips are made the same way now as they were at the beginning – made with simple ingredients, farm-fresh potatoes, and the same family-crafted flavour since 1921. They’re the perfect complement to a “Seriously Nice” Airline!

“Congratulations to David Neeleman and the Breeze Airways Team for earning their wings,” said Dylan Lissette, Chief Executive Officer of Utz Brands, Inc. “And, we are excited to become part of the team by serving our family-favourite, Utz Original Potato Chips on Breeze Airways flights. That’s a match made in the skies!”
