UIA flights to Vilnius to take longer.....

Ukraine International Airlines has warned passengers on one of its routes that will take slightly longer because the carrier will be avoiding Belarusian airspace.

The airline issued a statement saying "UIA reiterates on the continuation of the Kyiv-Vilnius-Kyiv flights with a slight increase in the flight duration (up to 40 minutes) due to fly-around of the territory of Belarus."


Currently, flights to Vilnius are operated on Mondays and Fridays according to the following schedule:

Kyiv (KBP) – Vilnius (VNO): departure at 9:55 (local time) – arrival at 11:55 (local time)

Vilnius (VNO) – Kyiv (KBP): departure at 14:15 (local time) – arrival at 16:15 (local time)

The current schedule allows passengers travelling from Vilnius to make convenient connections in Kyiv and continue their travel in the Eastern and Southern directions. The following destinations can be reached via Kyiv: Tbilisi, Yerevan, Chisinau Istanbul, Dubai, Cairo, Baku, Tel Aviv, Nursultan, Odesa, Kherson as well as other cities of Ukraine. Conversely, travellers from these regions can fly to Europe with a connection at UIA's base airport, Boryspil.
