easyJet launches first flight from Manchester to Newquay

Tuesday saw budget airline easyJet launch a new service between Manchester and Newquay, with the first flight departing at 08:00 from Manchester Airport.  The new route is one of several new additions to easyJet’s Manchester network for this summer, alongside a new flight from Manchester to Kos starting 26 June, Manchester to Nice starting 4 July, and Manchester to Ibiza starting 24 July.

Flights from Manchester to Newquay will operate up to five times a week throughout the summer season. With the scenic Cornish coastline boasting over 300 beaches, varying from golden sand to pebbly and dog-friendly to secluded, the new route to Newquay is expected to be popular amongst those looking to enjoy a domestic break this summer.

Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK Country Manager said:  “We are really excited to be celebrating the launch of our new route from Manchester to Newquay today. We know that people across the UK want to travel this summer, so we’re delighted to offer even more direct domestic routes, reuniting customers in the North West with family and friends or taking them away on a long-awaited break.

At easyJet, we remain focussed on strengthening our UK network, as well as providing customers with more choice, great value fares and unrivalled customer service.”

Karen Smart, Managing Director at Manchester Airport said:  "We are thrilled to see easyJet expanding its offering from Manchester with this new service. Greater connectivity and more choice for passengers travelling to the South West is good news for the North, whilst this route will also ultimately give travellers in the South West access to an extensive range of destinations from Manchester, as international travel resumes."
