flyBAIR with double flight launch in July 2020

flyBAIR, the youngest Swiss airline will start its flying operations on Saturday, July 18, 2020, with two flights, Bern-Mallorca and Sion-Mallorca.

"All People behind the project, my team and I have been longing for months for the first flight. It is the result of hard work. Now we can even celebrate in two Swiss regions – in German and French," said José Gonzalez, CEO of flyBAIR.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the airline had to delay its planned start date and has also had to review and change some of its flying programmes. The carrier's route network will include seven-holiday destinations, including Mallorca,  Crete, Rhodes, Jerez, Kos, Menorca and Preveza.

The airline will be operating flights with Embraer E190 aircraft in a one-class all-economy configuration with 112 seats. The carrier has said it will put together a select range of seasonal products as well as delicacies for its free in-flight meal service and rather unusually for a European carrier, it will offer free drinks. Passengers may purchase other products and duty-free goods on board
