Etihad's latest aircraft livery

Etihad Airways recently unveiled the stunning aircraft, which features specially designed Manchester City livery. The stunning design adorning the Boeing 787 features five different shades of blue and is likely to turn heads at every airport it visits.

“It doesn’t matter what sport you follow or which team you support, you can’t resist getting a little bit fanatical about how good the plane looks,” says Martijn Dieben, Regional Sales Manager for AkzoNobel’s Aerospace Coatings business. “We take great pride in supplying world-class products that deliver exactly to our customer’s specifications and this plane is a fantastic flying showcase for what we can deliver.”

The plane will be used for special events and to promote the strong links which have been forged since Etihad Airways became Manchester City’s official club sponsor. “Our relationship with Manchester City Football Club is strong and prominent, and we wanted to highlight this around our global network,” explains Mohammad Al Fardan, General Manager, Fleet Engineering, for Etihad Airways. “The new, blue livery of our latest Boeing 787-9 certainly does that. It’s striking, stylish and hard to miss – just like Man City.”
Etihad Airways flies to Manchester Airport 14 times a week, providing guests with direct access to the UK’s cultural hotspot. In addition to flights to and from London Heathrow, the airline conveniently connects the UK to Abu Dhabi and international destinations throughout the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Australia.

The brand-new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner features Etihad’s innovative, award-winning cabin designs and products, including the unique ‘fixed wing’ headrest for maximum comfort while travelling in economy. The Business Studios feature direct aisle access and a fully-flat bed of up to 80.5 inches in length. The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner is also one of the most economic aircraft in the sky.
