Alternative Airlines announce their new Global Airlines Relationship Manager

Alternative Airlines has appointed Thomas Garrett as their new Global Airlines Relationship Manager, to help build and foster relationships with airlines from around the world.

Alternative Airlines, a UK-based global flight booking platform, is excited to announce that Thomas Garrett is to fulfil the new role of Global Airlines Relationship Manager. Thomas will play a vital role, as the main point of contact at Alternative Airlines for all airline partners.

Alternative Airlines currently works with over 600 global airlines to provide customers with a greater choice of flights. Through an easy-to-use interface, Alternative Airlines is the flight booking platform of choice for a growing number of global travellers and travel agents alike.

As Alternative Airlines continues to grow its global customer base and expand into new markets, Thomas will play a pivotal role in maintaining partner airlines and GDS suppliers, as well as building new partnerships with smaller, regional airlines. The aim of the new role is to develop efficient and valuable relationships with partner airlines, with a focus on developing marketing and promotional opportunities.

Commenting on his new role, Thomas stated: “Alternative Airlines has carved out a reputation as an innovative travel agent and I am thrilled to be joining the team. I love the fact that Alternative Airlines is a fast-growing OTA with a real emphasis on technology and making the customer journey seamless for its customers.”

Thomas comes to Alternative Airlines with over 10 years’ experience in the Tourism sector, previously as an Airline Account Manager and before that as part of an Air Product Trading team. He added, “My previous experience in airline relations will be a great asset to the team, and I can’t wait to watch the company grow with my help.”

Speaking of the new role, Sam Argyle, Managing Director at Alternative Airlines, said: “Our secure-booking and user-friendly site has been developed to meet the needs of today’s traveller, and customers from around the world are increasingly choosing to book through us for the convenience, ease, and expertise that our team provides. As a result, prospective airline partners increasingly reach out to us, so the new role of Global Airlines Relationship Manager will be crucial in meeting this demand. We have an ambition to ticket every airline in the world from the largest airlines to the tiny, regional carriers, and Thomas is the next step towards achieving this!”

Through Alternative Airlines, customers can choose to book flights using over 160 localised currency options and over 25 different international payment methods, such as PayPal, a number of e-wallets, and payment plans from all the leading global providers, including PayPal Credit, Affirm and Klarna.

The new role comes as Alternative Airlines continues to make big strides to further meet the needs of all looking to book flights. In recognition of the site’s achievements, Alternative Airlines was recently awarded a place on the prestigious Sunday Times Tech Track 100 list of fastest-growing companies in the UK.
