The Russian airline group Aeroflot PJSC recently released its latest results which showed the company's airlines carried 51.9 million passengers, up 10.4% year-on-year during the first 10 months of 2019.
Aeroflot airline itself carried 31.6 million passengers, that is up 5.7% year-on-year, yet passenger load factor decreased 1.4% for the airline to 80.2% and down a percentage point to 80.2% for the group as a whole.
October 2019 operating highlights included a massive 5.2 million passengers carried by the group, a year-on-year increase of 8.5%. Aeroflot airline carried 3.2 million passengers, a year-on-year increase of 0.9%. Aeroflot Group’s passenger load factor was 82.7%, representing a 0.1 percentage point decrease versus the same period a year earlier. The passenger load factor at Aeroflot — Russian Airlines decreased by 1.2 percentage points year-on-year to 79.9%. As of 31 October 2019, Group and Company fleet had 364 and 249 aircraft, respectively.
