Aeroflot celebrates 10th anniversary of Moscow-Dresden flights

The leading Russian airline and the globes most recognised brand, Aeroflot has just marked 10 years of scheduled flights to Dresden, the capital of the German state of Saxony. The first regular flight between Moscow and Dresden took place on 3 July 2009 after a long break. Initially flights were operated twice per week, but as demand and popularity of this route grew, on 27 May 2014, Aeroflot increased the number of flights to seven per week.

Over the last decade, Aeroflot has carried over 309,000 passengers on this route.

Dresden remains a cultural capital of Germany. Due to the abundance of Baroque-style buildings neatly located in the historic centre of the city, Dresden is also sometimes known as Florence on the Elbe. Here tourists can see the famous Frauenkirche, admire the original Sistine Madonna by Raphael in the Alte Meister gallery, stroll down the Botanical Garden or visit the culinary and shopping centre of Dresden at Neustadt.

Dresden is the most dynamically developing city in Eastern Germany and is therefore popular among business travellers. People choose Aeroflot to travel to Dresden for high-quality service and comfort.
