Frontier Airlines starts eight new low-fare routes from Raleigh-Durham International Airport to Albany, Boston, Columbus, Hartford, Islip, Jacksonville, Philadelphia and Tampa
The low-cost airline with the infamous animal aircraft tails, Frontier Airlines is celebrating the start of new services from Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) to eight cities. "We are excited to launch eight new destinations for our customers and proud to offer our unique brand of Low Fares Done Right to Research Triangle travellers,” said Daniel Shurz, Senior Vice President, Commercial for Frontier Airlines. “Frontier is always looking for ways to make travel easier and more affordable, and with more destinations from RDU than any other airline, we’re sure there’s one for every traveller in the region.”
Frontier is a budget airline that is far more focused on offering more than just low fares, the carrier offers customers the ability to customise travel to their needs and budget. For example, customers can purchase options a la carte or in one low-priced bundle called the WORKS. This bundle includes refundability, a carry-on bag, a checked bag, the best available seat, waived change fees, and priority boarding.
“RDU is excited to partner with Frontier to introduce eight new low-cost options, including new destinations Albany, Islip and Jacksonville,” RDU President and CEO Michael Landguth said. “Frontier has seen tremendous growth at RDU in recent years, now flying nonstop to 32 cities. We hope Frontier will continue building out its service map to bring more affordable options to our customers.”
Frontier flies one of the youngest fleets in the global aviation industry, comprising over 85 Airbus A320 Family aircraft. With nearly 200 new Airbus planes on order, Frontier will continue to grow to deliver on the mission of providing affordable travel across America. Frontier’s young fleet also ensures that the company keeps fares low and that customers will enjoy a pleasant and reliable experience flying with the airline.
