The Polish airline LOT has recently introduced two new routes from London City Airport, in the heart of London, in addition to the service to Warsaw, they also fly directly to yo Vilnius (1st May) and Budapest.

Astana goodbye, hello Nur-Sultan

The carrier has also followed the guidelines of the IATA International Air Transport Association and many other airlines and changed their booking systems to reflect the new name for the capital of Kazakhstan - Nur-Sultan from the former name Astana.
Pursuant to the decree of the President of Kazakhstan of March 23th, 2019, at the request of the Kazakh airline Air Astana, the Civil Aviation Committee of Kazakhstan - IATA officially replaced the name of Kazakhstan's capital, Astana, with Nur-Sultan. The IATA code has not changed - for this airport - TSE still applies.
LOT has already begun the process of changing the identification of the capital of Kazakhstan in its communications. The crews servicing the route to the capital of Kazakhstan will introduce information about the new name of the Kazakh capital to the on-board messages. In addition, up to May, the carrier will update the identification on the lot.com website, in all sales channels and in the “Kaleidoscope” on-board journal.
The Polish carrier has been making direct flights on this route since May 2017 with aircraft from the Boeing 737 family. In the summer season, LOT offers four cruises a week and three in the winter season. Aeroplanes from Warsaw take off at 11 pm, and from Nur-Sultan at 1 pm.
