Blue Islands to operate flights to Jersey from 22 German airports this summer.





The Channel Islands airline Blue Islands has partnered with Specialist German tour operator Globalis to operate flights from 22 different German airports and one in Switzerland to Jersey over the forthcoming 16-week summer season.

According to the ATR operating airline, the flights will operate on Saturdays and Sunday from 13 April until 16 June and from 21 September until 27 October from a total of 23 different airports. Visitors will arrive from 22 different German airports including Berlin, Hamburg, Munich and Frankfurt, additionally there is also a flight from Basel in Switzerland, which is all part of Globalis’ summer activity to Jersey.

Rob Veron, Blue Islands CEO said, "Globalis has been organising bespoke holidays for visitors to Jersey for the past eight years, that’s why we’re extremely proud to have been selected for the first time to operate its extensive 2019 programme from Germany to Jersey this summer. As well as the inbound flights for Globalis, summer 2019 will see Blue Islands operate series charter services into the Channel Islands from Rotterdam, Zurich and Groningen for 22, 18 and eight-week periods respectively.

Blue Islands is a privately and independently owned Channel Islands-based regional airline, which became a Flybe franchise partner in 2016, operating flights in Flybe branded aircraft between the Channel Islands and to the UK. Blue Islands operates an all ATR fleet comprising of ATR 72 and ATR 42 aircraft and employs 100 people across its bases in Guernsey and Jersey.
