Goh Swee Chen to join Singapore Airlines board as independent director next year

Goh Swee Chen has been appointed to the board of Singapore Airlines as an independent non-executive director, the carrier confirmed this week. Ms Goh Swee Chen will take up that position from the 1st of January next year.

Ms Goh is Chairperson of Shell Companies in Singapore and has held senior roles with Shell since 2003, in Singapore, China and the Netherlands.  Prior to joining Shell, Ms Goh was with Procter & Gamble for 14 years, in Malaysia, Japan and Singapore, and before that with IBM Australia and USA.


Ms Goh has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business; she was conferred the Chicago Booth Distinguished Alumni Award in 2018. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Information Science from Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand.

A Justice of the Peace, Ms Goh is on the Board of Trustees of the Singapore University of Technology and Design, Chairman of the Institute of Human Resource Professionals, Vice President of the Singapore National Employers Federation, President of Global Compact Network Singapore, Council Member of National Arts Council and Director with the Human Capital Leadership Institute Pte Ltd and CapitaLand Ltd.
