Air Italy extend Miami service.

The Italian airline half owned by Qatar Airways, Air Italy has announced it is extending its recently launched service between Milan and Miami. The scheduled service will now complete the entire forthcoming winter season.

The airline only launched the route on the 8th of June and demand has proved to be strong, Neil Mills, Air Italy Chief Operating Officer said, "Thanks to a great response from our customers and increasing demand, we are opening up our winter inventory for our Milan-Miami flight, as we are already running at a load factor of over 80%. This expansion is a testament to our business plan and product offering, and is simply a response to the great support which we have been receiving from our customers,"

"Just last week we took delivery of our second B737 Max 8 after a successful showing at the Farnborough Airshow, and as our fleet continues to expand, we look forward to rolling out more frequencies and new destinations over the coming weeks and months to provide our new services to our rapidly growing customer base."

The Miami service will remain operating four times each week, flying on Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays on an Airbus A330-200, with a configuration of 24 seats in Business Class and 228 seats in Economy Class.

Currently, Air Italy's fleet comprises of two Boeing 737 MAX, eight Boeing 737 NG, two Airbus A330 and three Boeing 767-300 aircrafts. However, by the end of this year, if all goes well, the airline will retire the 767's and take delivery of three Boeing 737 MAX aircraft and five Airbus A330-200.
