Thomas Cook Airlines Not For Sale?

Thomas Cook's airline business is not for sale according to bosses at the travel group, yet a full financial examination of the airline has been started by an 'outside' investment and consultancy firm according to a high ranking company employee.
 
Apparently this examination is almost 'forensic' in its approach and has full access to all company files and data. However the company insider couldn't say if the consultancy firm were working on behalf Thomas Cook or another firm.

Is Thomas Cook about to flog it's airline?

Financially troubled Thomas Cook could be about to sell off its airline according to people inside the industry and the company.
 
Last month the Sunday Times ran a story that the company was trying to off load the airline business to a venture capitalist firm. Other industry insiders have also murmured rumours of preliminary talks before proper negotiations between company bosses and other 'interested parties'.
 
However the  head of airlines and hotels division Christoph Debus has dismissed these 0recent reports and defended the record of former chief executive Harriet Green.  "I never talked to the investor mentioned [in the article]."  He told travel paper TravelWeekly.  "We are definitely not desperate to sell our airline. There were no talks. There is no real news."

Thomas Cook sorry for dead dog.


An airline has apologised to the owner of an English bulldog which died on a flight to Gatwick Airport.
The dog, Buster, owned by a member of the armed forces returning from duty in Cyprus, was found dead in a container on the Thomas Cook Airlines flight.
The airline was fined £6,500 and ordered
