STARLUX Airlines gets a brand new Airbus A321neo


Aviation Capital Group confirmed the delivery of one new Airbus A321neo aircraft on long-term lease to STARLUX Airlines. Featuring CFM International LEAP-1A30 engines, this is the first of three new A321neo’s confirmed to deliver to the airline from ACG’s order book with Airbus.

“We are extremely excited to deliver this A321neo to STARLUX Airlines,” said Tom Baker, CEO and president of ACG. “We look forward to STARLUX operating this highly fuel-efficient aircraft in their growing route network.”

An aeroplane is more than just a means of transportation — rather, it becomes the core element of a pleasurable travel experience.

STARLUX Airlines Launches New Route to Singapore!

STARLUX Airlines officially launched its inaugural flight between Singapore and Taipei. Once again, the airline achieves a significant milestone despite the pandemic following the opening of new routes to Kuala Lumpur, Ho Chi Minh City and Manila earlier this year. STARLUX will initially operate two flights per week.

STARLUX recognizes the importance of Singapore as a centre of economic and cultural events as well as an important transportation hub in Asia. The airline chose to open the route based on the level of cargo flight demand and hopes to provide travel service to passengers commuting between Singapore and Taiwan in the post-pandemic period. As regards COVID-related travel rules and regulations, please check for the latest information on customs, immigration and quarantine procedures before departure, and cooperate with all associated instructions.

Changi Airport welcomed the inaugural flight from Taipei with a water salute today. Mr Lim Ching Kiat, Changi Airport Group (CAG)’s Managing Director of Air Hub Development said, “We are delighted to welcome STARLUX Airlines to our Changi family. This new service will provide passengers with more travel options to Taiwan and presents growth opportunities for leisure and business travel in the region. STARLUX Airlines orders 17 A350 XWB aircraft for long-haul services

STARLUX Airlines of Taiwan has signed a firm order with Airbus for 17 widebody aircraft, comprising 12 A350-1000s and five A350-900s. The new airline plans to deploy these aircraft on its premier long-haul services from Taipei to Europe and North America, as well as selected destinations within the Asia-Pacific region.

“We are very glad to sign the official purchase agreement today for Airbus widebodies. The A350’s combination of extra-long-range capability, significantly lower operating costs and high passenger comfort were key factors in our decision,” K.W. Chang, Founder and Chairman of STARLUX Airlines said. “STARLUX is committed to becoming one of the best airlines in the world. We are positive that with the A350 XWB, we will be able to spread our wings to further destinations, bringing our best-in-class services to more people over the world in the near future.”

A21neos and A350's for Taiwanese start up airline STARLUX

STARLUX Airlines is a new startup airline based in Taiwan, which have signed a memorandum of understanding with European manufacturer Airbus at the Farnborough International Airshow 2018 today.

The brand new carrier is to purchase 17 A350XWB aircraft which is made up of 12 A350-1000s and 5 A350-900s, with deliveries scheduled to be delivered from the start of 2021. STARLUX founder and Chairman K.W. Chang said, "As a pilot myself, I personally experienced the test-flight of the A350-1000. Its outstanding performance really amazed me. The A350XWB is indeed one-of-a-kind in the current market, and perfectly suited for such a geographic location as Taiwan," 

The new airline is goping for an all Airbus fleet, confirming that it will be leasing 10 A321neos and is looking forward to being the first airline to operate the A350-1000 in Taiwan.
