Increased security checks for Philippine Airlines US bound flights.

Philippine Airlines will be further enhancing security measures for its US-bound flights -- Manila-Los Angeles/ Manila-San Francisco/Manila-Honolulu/Manila-Guam and Vancouver-New York (JFK) - by way of additional check-in procedures. 

This planned move is in line with the regulatory requirements of the US Department of Homeland Security for all flights operating from the 'last point of departure to the United States'.

Another Q400 for Philippine Airlines and more US flights?

Philippine Airlines has taken delivery of its second two class next generation Bombardier Q400 aircraft recently after an epic 11,400-mile journey.

The delivery flight of Philippine's 83rd aircraft from Toronto to Manila had nine stopovers touched down in Manila recently after traveling approximately 11,400 nautical miles from Toronto to Manila with nine stop-overs. Newfoundland was the first and then Le Bourget,  Malta, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Thailand before finally landing in Manila. In command of the aircraft were Captain Ryan Buhawe and Captain Melvin Olazo. Completing the flight deck roster were Crew Chief Moises Menor, First Officer Jeffrey Royce Panit, aircraft mechanics Jayson Gregorio and Willy Caducio,


The aircraft has a configuration of 86-seater and will be utilized on select intra-domestic routes and is the second of the type for the airline from an order of 12, the rest of which are all due to arrive before the end of 2019.

Manila - Auckland Non-Stop For Philippine Airlines

Philippine Airlines will be making a major change on flights to New Zealand's 'City of Sails from December this year.  The airline is to start a direct non-stop flight to Auckland from Manila from 6th December on on of its Airbus A340 aircraft. 

The non-stop service will operate three times a week - Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday - departing Manila at 11.15pm, arriving Auckland at 2.05pm local time the following day.  The return leaves Auckland every Friday, Saturday and Tuesday at 12.30 local time and touches down in Manila at 5.45am.

Philippine Airlines To Fly 777's To London

Philippine Airlines confirmed this week that it will boost their service into London from Manila with the introduction of between a state-of-the-art Boeing 777-300s on the route. The 370 passenger carrying aircraft will make its debut on the route on 19th September this year and will enhance the customer experience. 

Philippine want to be a 5 star airline....
