Boeing and Aeromexico Celebrate Delivery of Airline's First 737 MAX
Boeing and Aeromexico celebrated the delivery of the first of up to 90 737 MAX aircraft for the airline yesterday. Aeromexico is looking to refresh its fleet and expand its reach and has chosen the fuel-efficient and longer-range MAX jets to do this at rates 20% below list price.
In 2012 Aeromexico placed an order for up to 90 MAX aeroplanes, mixed between the MAX 8 and the larger MAX 9 varieties. The two different models offer will give the airline the flexibility to fly between approximately 160 and 190 passengers on flights of about 3,550 nautical miles (6,570 kilometres).

Aeromexico, the largest airline in Mexico, operates one of the most technologically-advanced fleets in the region. It is a leading operator of the 787 Dreamliner.

Aeromexcico January 2018 figures are up
Aeromexico reported January 2018 operational results this week. which saw passenger numbers up over the same period last year.
The Aeromexico group transported 1 million 807 thousand passengers in January; a 10.3% year-on-year increase. International passenger numbers increased by 19.1%, while domestic passenger numbers increased by 5.3%.
Demand, measured in Revenue Passenger Kilometers (RPKs), increased by 19.7%, year-on-year. Aeromexico's capacity, measured in Available Seat Kilometers (ASKs), increased by 16.5% year-on-year.
Aeromexico's January load factor was 80.5%, an increase of 2.1 p.p. compared to January 2017.

Aeromexico Reports December 2017 Traffic Results
Grupo Aeromexico today reported December 2017 operational results.
Grupo Aeromexico transported 1 million 832 thousand passengers in December 2017; a 3.9% year-on-year increase. International passenger numbers increased by 19.5%, while domestic passenger numbers decreased by 4.4%.
Demand, measured in Revenue Passenger Kilometers (RPKs), increased by 15.2%, year-on-year. Aeromexico's capacity, measured in Available Seat Kilometers (ASKs), increased by 15.5%, year-on-year.
Aeromexico's December load factor was 80.3%, a decrease of 0.2 p.p. compared to December 2016.

International passenger numbers up 12 percent for Aeromexico in October
Grupo Aeromexico passenger numbers up 4.5 percent in October. The expanding airline reported its October 2017 operational result last week which showed positive growth in all areas.
Grupo Aeromexico transported 1 million 751 thousand passengers in October 2017; a 4.5% year-on-year increase. International passenger numbers increased by 12.0%, while domestic passenger numbers increased by 1.0%. Demand, measured in Revenue Passenger Kilometers (RPKs), increased by 14.1%, year-on-year. Aeromexico's capacity, measured in Available Seat Kilometers (ASKs), increased by 13.4%, year-on-year. Aeromexico's October load factor was 81.0%, an increase of 0.4 p.p. compared to October 2016.

Aeromexico August Figures Up.
The Aeromexico group released its figures for August during the week and they show an increase in passenger numbers of 4.5% over the same period last year.
The airline carried over 1 and 3 quarter million passengers during this August a 4.5% percent rise over the same period last year. International passenger numbers were also up by 12.1% percent and seat revenue jumped by just over 15% percent.
Aeromexico, Mexico´s global airline, continues to expand despite tough trading conditions, it now flies to more than 80 cities on three continents, including 44 destinations in Mexico, 18 in the United States, 15 in Latin America, 4 in Canada, 4 in Europe, and 3 in Asia. It operates more than 600 daily flights and the number is set to increase during the rest of the year.
