This exemption follows the Agency’s determination that the Company has met the Agency’s financial requirements. The Agency had previously determined that Canada Jetlines met the Canadian Control requirements. The formal commercial license will be issued following the issuance of the Air Operator Certificate by Transport Canada.
“This exemption is a testament to all the great work Canada Jetlines has done towards obtaining its license in time for starting operation in the summer of 2022. We intend to go public with our schedule and start selling flights in the coming weeks,” said Eddy Doyle CEO of Canada Jetlines. “We are looking forward to our first flights and the opportunity to offer Canadians a new and exciting air service option.”
