Gulf Air aim to be in a 'class of their own'

Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, commenced operations in 1950, becoming one of the first commercial airlines established in the Middle East. The airline operates scheduled flights from its hub at Bahrain International Airport to cities in Europe, Middle East, Africa, the Indian sub-continent and the Far East.

We may only be on the first day of April,  but already the carrier has had an exciting start to the year, firstly shifting operations to the new Bahrain International Airport where it unveiled Gulf Air's very own terminal and brand new Falcon Gold Lounge.

On 12th March Gulf Air operated a cargo-only flight, delivering 300,000 Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccines from the People's Republic of China to the Kingdom of Bahrain in support of the National Vaccination Campaign.

The Kingdom of Bahrain was also the first to kick-start the 2021 Formula 1 racing calendar, hosting round 1 of the championship, in which Max Verstappen gave Lewis Hamilton a real fight right up until the final few laps.   The airline also flew a Boeing 787-9 over the track before the race using completely sustainable fuel.

To help mark their achievements and in continuation of the theme of new beginnings and fresh starts, the airline announces the launch of its new “A class of our own” slogan.

"Our slogan represents and embodies our individuality and ambition to be the best while adding our unique touch to our products and services.  As the aviation industry takes in stride the changes to traditional ways of travel, the launch of our new slogan marks our adaptation and commitment to prioritise your needs and concerns as we navigate together the future of contemporary travel." the airline says.
