Eurowings details its summer 2020 schedule

The last weeks were very special for the Lufthansa Group. Now that the Extraordinary General Meeting of Lufthansa AG has approved the proposed stabilisation measures, which means Eurowings has now been able to move forward with its future plans.

Eurowings will continue to expand the flight schedule, the airline says it will be offering around 6,000 flights over its schedule, an increase of two-thirds compared to last month.

In addition to several daily domestic German connections, e.g. between Stuttgart, Dusseldorf, Cologne, Berlin, Hamburg and Munich, Eurowings are also increasing flights to numerous tourist destinations for the start of the summer holidays. As well as opening further European routes, including the Greek islands, Croatia, Mallorca or the Bulgarian coastal cities of Burgas and Varna. Major European centres such as Barcelona, Paris, Rome and Zurich complete our current schedule.

Advance notice: the carriers flexibility guarantee and extensive rebooking options continue to apply. The carrier says that - Up to 14 days before your departure date, you can change your flight as often as you like, without rebooking fees. You can also change the destination. This still applies if we operate the flight, regardless of which ticket you have booked and whether a travel warning has been issued.

If your flight has been cancelled, you can rebook online or generate a flight voucher. We are also now extending the validity of existing vouchers to three years, to give you even more flexibility in the future.

Of course, you can also request a full refund of your fare. In recent weeks, our team has processed tens of thousands of refund applications. If you are still waiting for your refund, I assure you that we will process your application. We ask for your understanding if you are experiencing longer waiting times with our Service Centre. We are working hard every day to process all your requests as quickly as we can. Our customer service resources are being continually expanded, but we need more than 30 times our usual capacity to cope with the current circumstances, which is a huge challenge. But if a voucher or rebooking is not a suitable option for you, we assure you that your fare will be refunded.

The health and safety of passengers and employees is the airlines highest priority. It has implemented comprehensive hygiene measures to ensure that you always feel comfortable and safe on your journey with us. The air circulating in the cabin is filtered and cleaned of impurities such as dust, bacteria and viruses. Thanks to these high-performance particle filters, the air on board is as clean as in an operating theatre. Along with these HEPA filters, not only for your own protection, and that of your fellow passengers, you are still obliged to wear your own mouth and nose protector at the airport and on board. Our in-flight service rem‍ains at a reduced level for the time being. Our colleague, Anja, has created a short video report of her flight in times of Coronavirus, to reassure you of our safety measures.
