Global entry restrictions
The International Air Transport Association has gathered all the information to indicate the latest travel and entry restrictions for each country during this coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. The information is correct to the best of IATA's knowledge at the time of publication and is being reviewed and updated on an ongoing basis by IATA staff, however, given the rapidly evolving nature of the international response to the COVID-19 outbreak there may be some errors or omissions.
ANGOLA - published 18.03.2020
1. Passengers and airline crew who have been in China (People's Rep.), France, Iran, Italy, Korea (Rep.), Portugal or Spain are not allowed to enter Angola. This also applies to passengers and airline crew who have been in contact with people infected by the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
- This does not apply to airline crew and nationals of Angola.
2. Residents of Angola, airline crew and nationals of Angola who arrive from or have been in China (People's Rep.), France, Iran, Italy, Korea (Rep.), Portugal or Spain will be put in quarantine.
3. A completed sanitary control sheet must be presented to the National Directorate of Public Health of the Ministry of Health upon arrival.
1. Passengers and airline crew who have been in China (People's Rep.), France, Iran, Italy, Korea (Rep.), Portugal or Spain are not allowed to enter Angola. This also applies to passengers and airline crew who have been in contact with people infected by the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
- This does not apply to airline crew and nationals of Angola.
2. Residents of Angola, airline crew and nationals of Angola who arrive from or have been in China (People's Rep.), France, Iran, Italy, Korea (Rep.), Portugal or Spain will be put in quarantine.
3. A completed sanitary control sheet must be presented to the National Directorate of Public Health of the Ministry of Health upon arrival.
ANGUILLA - published 21.03.2020
1. All airports are closed for 14 days from 23:59 local time on 20 March 2020.
2. Passengers who have travelled outside of the Caribbean Region within the last 14 days, will be quarantined for 14 days on their arrival. A judgement will be made on arrival by health professionals if this can be self-quarantine or in a government run health facility.
ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA - published 19.03.2020
1. Passengers and airline crew who have been in China (People's Rep.), France, Germany, Iran, Italy, Japan, Korea (Rep.) or Singapore in the past 28 days are not allowed to enter Antigua and Barbuda.
2. Nationals and resident diplomats of Antigua and Barbuda who have been in China (People's Rep.), France, Germany, Iran, Italy, Japan, Korea (Rep.) or Singapore in the past 28 days are allowed to enter Antigua and Barbuda. Airlines must provide their advance passenger information before departure.
ARGENTINA - published 17.03.2020
Passengers are not allowed to enter Argentina.

ARMENIA - published 06.02.2020
1. Nationals of China (People's Rep.) with a normal passport are no longer visa exempt.
2. Nationals of Iran can no longer obtain a visa on arrival. They must obtain a visa or an e-visa prior to their arrival in Armenia. The e-visa can be obtained at https://evisa.mfa.am/
ARUBA - published 20.03.2020
1. Passengers are not allowed to enter Aruba.
-This does not apply to residents of Aruba. They must hold an valid Aruban driving license, Aruban ID card or a valid Aruban Health Insurance Card.
-This does not apply to airline crew.
-Passengers must apply self-quarantine for 14 days.
2. It is prohibited to transport passengers by air to Aruba from 21 March 2020 (00:00 UTC-4) up to and including 31 March 2020.

They must remain airside and must have not been in China (People's Rep.), Iran, Italy or Korea (Rep.) in the past 14 days. This is valid till 11:59 AEDST 24 March 2020.
1. Passengers are not allowed to transit or enter Australia.
- This does not apply to nationals of Australia.
- This does not apply to the immediate family members of nationals of Australia.
- This does not apply to permanent residents of Australia and their immediate family members.
- This does not apply to nationals of New Zealand residing in Australia.
- This does not apply to airline crew.
- This does not apply to diplomats accredited to Australia and currently resident in Australia, and their immediate family members.
- This does not apply to nationals of Cook Isl., Fiji, French Polynesia, Kiribati, Marshall Isl., Micronesia (Federated States), Nauru, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Niue, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa (American), Solomon Isl., Tonga, Tuvalu and Vanuatu when they are transiting through Australia to their home country.
2. Passengers who have transited through or have been in China (People's Rep.) in the past 14 days are not allowed to transit or enter Australia.
- This does not apply to nationals of Australia and their immediate family members. They will be required to self-isolate for a period of 14 days from their arrival into Australia.
- This does not apply to permanent residents of Australia and their immediate family members. They will be required to self-isolate for a period of 14 days from their arrival into Australia.
- This does not apply to nationals of New Zealand residing in Australia. They will be required to self-isolate for a period of 14 days from their arrival into Australia.
- This does not apply to airline crew.
3. Passengers who have transited through or have been in Iran on or after 1 March 2020 are not allowed to enter Australia for 14 days, from the time they left or transited through Iran.
- This does not apply to nationals of Australia, their immediate family members, permanent residents of Australia and their immediate family members. They will be required to self-isolate for a period of 14 days.
4. Passengers who have transited through or have been in Korea (Rep.) on or after 2100 AEDST 5 March 2020 are not allowed to enter Australia for 14 days, from the time they left or transited through Korea (Rep.).
- This does not apply to nationals of Australia, their immediate family members, permanent residents of Australia and their immediate family members. They will be required to self-isolate for a period of 14 days.
5. Passengers who have transited through or have been in Italy on or after 1800 AEDST 11 March 2020 are not allowed to enter Australia for 14 days, from the time they left or transited through Italy.
- This does not apply to nationals of Australia, their immediate family members, permanent residents of Australia and their immediate family members. They will be required to self-isolate for a period of 14 days.
6. All passengers are required to self-isolate for a period of 14 days from their arrival into Australia. If their duration of stay is less than 14 days, they must self-isolate for the entire duration of stay.
- This does not apply to airline crew with the appropriate personal protective equipment.
AUSTRIA - published 21.03.2020
1. Passengers not arriving from Austria, Belgium, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden or Switzerland are not allowed to enter Austria.
- This does not apply to nationals of Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland (Rep.), Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
- This does not apply to passengers with a British passport.
- This does not apply to residents of Austria.
- This does not apply to passengers with a D visa issued by Austria.
- This does not apply to passengers with a medical certificate dated from a maximum of 4 days before their arrival in Austria. The medical certificate must confirm that the person is not affected by Coronavirus (COVID-19), and be in German or in English.
- This does not apply to:
a. passengers traveling on diplomatic missions and their family members if living in the same household, and
b. employees of international organisations and their family members if living in the same household, and
c. humanitarian workers, and
d. healthcare professionals, and
e. transport personnel including crew engaged in transport of goods, and
f. crew members of cargo, emergency, rescue/ambulance or ferry flights.
2. Nationals of Austria must go into self-quarantine for a period of 14 days upon arrival.
3. Residents of Austria and passengers with a D visa issued by Austria must go into self-quarantine for a period of 14 days upon arrival.
AZERBAIJAN - published 13.03.2020
1. Nationals of China (People's Rep.) with a normal passport are not allowed to enter Azerbaijan if they do not have a visa obtained before departure.
2. Nationals of Bahrain, Indonesia, Iran, Israel, Japan, Korea (Rep.), Kuwait, Malaysia, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, UAE and USA are not allowed to enter Azerbaijan if they do not have a visa obtained before departure.
3. The issuance of e-visas and visa on arrival has been suspended.
BAHAMAS - published 20.03.2020
1. Passengers who have been in China (People's Rep.), Iran, Italy or Korea (Rep.) in the past 20 days are not allowed to enter.
2. Passengers who have been in Europe, Ireland or United Kingdom in the past 20 days are not allowed to enter until 13 April 2020.
3. Residents of the Bahamas who have been in China (People's Rep.), Europe, Iran, Italy, Korea (Rep.) or United Kingdom will be subject to immediate quarantine for a maximum of 14 days.
BAHRAIN – published 19.03.2020
1. Visa on arrival has been suspended.
- This does not apply to passengers with a diplomatic, an official, a service or UN passport.
2. Passengers who have been in Austria, Belgium, China (People's Rep.), Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Iran, Iraq, Korea (Rep.), Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and USA in the past 14 days are not allowed to transit and enter Bahrain.
- This does not apply to nationals of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates.
- This does not apply to passengers who reside in Bahrain.
- This does not apply to airline crew.
- This does not apply to military personnel.
- This does not apply to passengers with a special approval from Nationality, Passport Residence Affairs Directorate of Bahrain.
- This does not apply to passengers with a valid letter of Prior Permission Granted which is presented prior to boarding.
3. Passengers who have been in Hong Kong (SAR China), Italy, Japan, Lebanon, Malaysia, Singapore or Thailand in the past 14 days must have a valid visa prior to arrival.
- This does not apply to nationals of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates.
- This does not apply to passengers who reside in Bahrain.
- This does not apply to passengers with a valid letter of Prior Permission Granted which is presented prior to boarding.
- This does not apply to airline crew.
4. All passengers arriving in Bahrain will immediately be taken to undergo enhanced testing procedures as a preventative measure for Coronavirus (COVID-19) and will be subject to quarantine.
5. Border crossing on the causeway has been temporarily suspended due to Coronavirus (COVID-19).
BANGLADESH - published 17.03.2020
1. The visa on arrival facility has been suspended for all nationalities.
2. Passengers arriving from China (People's Rep.), Iran, Italy or Korea (Rep.) can no longer obtain a visa on arrival.
3. Passengers arriving from China (People's Rep.), Iran, Italy or Korea (Rep.) with a pre-arranged visa must have a medical certificate stating that the person is not affected by Coronavirus (COVID-19). The certificate must be duly certified by the embassy.
- This does not apply to nationals of Bangladesh.
4. Nationals of China (Peoples' Rep.), passengers with a Chinese Taipei (on the cover: Republic of China Taiwan) passport, a Hong Kong (SAR China) passport or a Macao (SAR China) passport traveling to Bangladesh can no longer obtain a visa on arrival.
5. Passengers arriving from China (People's Rep.), Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong (SAR China) or Macau (SAR China) must fill-in a Health Clearance Form provided by cabin crew.
BELGIUM – published 21.03.2020
AZERBAIJAN - published 13.03.2020
1. Nationals of China (People's Rep.) with a normal passport are not allowed to enter Azerbaijan if they do not have a visa obtained before departure.
2. Nationals of Bahrain, Indonesia, Iran, Israel, Japan, Korea (Rep.), Kuwait, Malaysia, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, UAE and USA are not allowed to enter Azerbaijan if they do not have a visa obtained before departure.
3. The issuance of e-visas and visa on arrival has been suspended.

-This does not apply to nationals of EEA Member States and Switzerland returning home.
-This does not apply to passengers with a British passport with nationality “British Citizen", “British Overseas Territories Citizen" issued by Gibraltar and British Passports with a Certificate of Entitlement to the Right of Abode issued by the United Kingdom, returning home.
-This does not apply to passengers with a long-term residence permit or a long term visa issued by EEA Member States, Switzerland or the United Kingdom.
-This does not apply to:
- family members of nationals of EEA Member States, Switzerland, and of British nationals;
- diplomats;
- personnel of international and humanitarian organizations;
- humanitarian aid workers;
- military personnel.
BELIZE - published 16.03.2020
1. Nationals of Belize who have been in a European country, China (People's Rep.), Hong Kong (SAR China), Iran, Japan or Korea (Rep.) will be subject to self-isolation.
-This does not apply to airline crew.
2. Residents of Belize who have been in a European country, China (People's Rep.), Hong Kong (SAR China), Iran, Japan or Korea (Rep.), will be subject to self-isolation.
3. Passengers who have been in a European country, China (People's Rep.), Hong Kong (SAR China), Iran, Japan or Korea (Rep.) in the past 30 days, are not allowed to enter Belize.
- This does not apply to nationals and residents of Belize.
BENIN - published 18.03.2020
Passengers are subject to quarantine for 14 days.
BERMUDA - published 19.03.2020
1. Passengers will be required to self-quarantine for 14 days.
- This does not apply to airline crew.
2. Bermuda (BDA) is closed for incoming passenger flights from 20 March 2020, 23:59 local time for 2 weeks.
BOLIVIA - published 20.03.2020
1. Passengers are not allowed to enter Bolivia.
- This does not apply to nationals of Bolivia.
- This does not apply to passengers who reside in Bolivia.
- This does not apply to passengers who are in a diplomatic mission.
2. Flights from Europe to Bolivia are suspended until 31 March 2020.
BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA - published 12.03.2020
1- Passengers who have been in China (People's Rep.) (Hubei - Wuhan Province), Iran, Italy or Korea (Rep.) are not allowed to enter Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- This does not apply to nationals and residents of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
2. Nationals and residents of Bosnia and Herzegovina who have been in China (People's Rep.) (Hubei - Wuhan Province), Iran, Italy or Korea (Rep.) must complete a health questionnaire and will be put under medical supervision.
BOTSWANA - published 19.03.2020
1. Passengers arriving from Austria, Belgium, China (People's Rep.), Denmark, France, Germany, India, Iran, Italy, Japan, Korea (Rep.), Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, USA or United Kingdom are not allowed to enter Botswana.
- This does not apply to nationals of Botswana.
- This does not apply to passengers who reside in Botswana.
2. Nationals and residents of Botswana will be quarantined for 14 days.
3. Passengers can no longer obtain a visa on arrival in Botswana..
4. Visas issued to nationals of Austria, Belgium, China (People's Rep.), Denmark, France, Germany, India, Iran, Italy, Japan, Korea (Rep.), Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland or USA are invalidated.
5. Visas issued to passengers with a British passport with nationality "British Citizen" are invalidated.
BRUNEI DARUSSALAM - published 21.03.2020
1. All passengers must undergo self-isolation for 14 days.
BELIZE - published 16.03.2020
1. Nationals of Belize who have been in a European country, China (People's Rep.), Hong Kong (SAR China), Iran, Japan or Korea (Rep.) will be subject to self-isolation.
-This does not apply to airline crew.
2. Residents of Belize who have been in a European country, China (People's Rep.), Hong Kong (SAR China), Iran, Japan or Korea (Rep.), will be subject to self-isolation.
3. Passengers who have been in a European country, China (People's Rep.), Hong Kong (SAR China), Iran, Japan or Korea (Rep.) in the past 30 days, are not allowed to enter Belize.
- This does not apply to nationals and residents of Belize.
BENIN - published 18.03.2020
Passengers are subject to quarantine for 14 days.
BERMUDA - published 19.03.2020
1. Passengers will be required to self-quarantine for 14 days.
- This does not apply to airline crew.
2. Bermuda (BDA) is closed for incoming passenger flights from 20 March 2020, 23:59 local time for 2 weeks.
BOLIVIA - published 20.03.2020
1. Passengers are not allowed to enter Bolivia.
- This does not apply to nationals of Bolivia.
- This does not apply to passengers who reside in Bolivia.
- This does not apply to passengers who are in a diplomatic mission.
2. Flights from Europe to Bolivia are suspended until 31 March 2020.
BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA - published 12.03.2020

3. Passengers with a Permanent Staying Permit (KITAP) or a Temporary Staying Permit (KITAS) are only allowed to enter Indonesia if they have a valid health certification issued by local health authorities in English stating they are fit for travel and free from respiratory disease. The certification must have been issued at latest 7 days prior to departure.
4. Passengers and airline crew who have been in China (People's Rep.) or Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk-do Province in Korea (Rep.) in the past 14 days are not allowed to enter or transit Indonesia.

5. Passengers who in the past 14 days have been in areas within Iran, Italy or Korea (Rep.) other than the following mentioned areas must provide a valid health certificate. The certificate must be in English and have been issued at latest 7 days prior to departure from local health authority. It should contain information of (1) fit for travel and (2) free from respiratory disease. - Tehran, Qom or Gilan in Iran; - Lombardi, Veneto, Emilia Romagna, Marche or Piedmont in Italy; - Daegu or Gyeongsangbuk-do Province in Korea (Rep.). 1. Nationals of China (People's Rep.) with a normal passport, passengers with a Hong Kong (SAR China) passport and passengers with a Macao (SAR China) passport are no longer visa exempt. However, they can obtain a visa on arrival. They are required to clear the medical and health check upon arrival. After that they will be given a certificate.
2. Based on the travel advisory restriction issued by United Arab Emirates Government, nationals of United Arab Emirates are not allowed to travel to Iran.
IRAQ - published 18.03.2020
1.Passengers are not allowed to enter via Baghdad (BGW) until 24 March 2020, 23:00.
2.Nationals of China (People's Rep.) are not allowed to enter.

1. Passengers traveling as tourists are not allowed to enter via airports in below listed areas.
2.Passengers arriving at airports in below listed areas, are allowed to enter if they are traveling on business, for health reasons, in an emergency or if they reside in one of these areas. A completed “Self-declaration" form must be presented upon arrival.- Areas: Lombardy region and the provinces of Alessandria, Asti, Modena, Novara, Padova, Parma, Pesaro and Urbino, Piacenza, Reggio Emilia, Rimini, Treviso-Venice, Verbano - Cusio - Ossola and Vercelli.3. Passengers must report to the regional Health Office upon arrival in Italy and be quarantined for 14 days.
- This does not apply to passengers traveling on urgent working purposes with a written declaration. They are allowed to enter for 72 hours with a possible extension of 24 hours.
JAMAICA - published 16.03.2020
1. Passengers who have been in China (People's Rep.), Chinese Taipei, France, Germany, Hong Kong (SAR China), Iran, Italy, Korea (Rep.), Macao (SAR China), Singapore, Spain or United Kingdom in the last 14 days will not be allowed to enter Jamaica.
-This does not apply to nationals and residents of Jamaica.
2.Nationals of Jamaica and residents of Jamaica, who have been in the above-mentioned countries in the last 14 days will be subject to health assessment and quarantine.
3.Passengers who have been in the above-mentioned countries and have been granted landing privileges will be assessed by the Ministry of Health and Wellness and:
- those classified as high risk will be quarantined in government facilities;
- those classified as low-risk will be quarantined at home under the supervision of the Parish Health Department.
- those who display any symptom of Coronavirus (COVID-19) will be placed in immediate isolation at a health facility.

If they have been in Hubei Province (China People's Rep.) within the last 14 days, they will be quarantined for 14 days upon entry into Singapore. UKRAINE - published 15.03.2020
International passengers will not be allowed to enter and/or transit Ukraine. Passengers will not be allowed to enter Ukraine for a period of two weeks, until 3 April 2020.
- This does not apply to nationals of Ukraine, to residents of Ukraine, to spouses and children of Ukrainian nationals, to representatives of official international and diplomatic organizations (and their family members), to crewmembers, and to representatives of humanitarian missions (and their family members).
On 17 March 2020, at 00:00 local time (GMT+2), all border crossing points will be closed (for any international border crossing) for a period of two weeks, until 3 April 2020. This does not apply to border crossings required to safeguard national interests, and to representatives of diplomatic organizations and humanitarian missions. Nationals of Ukraine should return to Ukraine as soon as possible. Those who do not have time to do so for objective reasons, should contact the Ukrainian consulate. In cooperation with Ukrainian authorities, they will be returned home by non-scheduled flights. 4. Nationals and residents of Vanuatu who have been away in any other country excluding China (People's Rep.), within the last 2 months, can transit through Hong Kong (SAR China) or Singapore to Vanuatu if the transit time is not more than 8 hours. They must stay in the airport terminal.
5. Nationals and residents of Vanuatu transiting for more than eight hours in Hong Kong (SAR China) or Singapore or have left the terminal must be self-quarantined for 14 days outside of Vanuatu before traveling into the country.
