Japan Airlines has confirmed it will be giving away 50,000 round-trip domestic tickets for international tourists for travel from July 2020.
The launch of the special "Win a Trip with JAL" campaign is designed to enable international visitors to Japan to experience regional attractions using the JAL domestic route network. The latest campaign is part of the Your Japan 2020 Campaign to be launched in 2020 by the Japan Tourism Agency and the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO).
Win a Trip with JAL will invite international visitors to trips aboard JAL domestic flights to regional destinations in Japan. JAL will recommend each traveller four destinations from which the traveller can select one. The campaign Win a Trip with JAL, which will begin in late February, will offer up to 100,000 seats free of charge for travel between July and September 2020.
JAL and NRI will continue to work together to increase customer satisfaction of Japan-bound visitors and help facilitate regional revitalization by bringing tourist traffic to regions across Japan, in coordination with the Japan Tourism Agency, JNTO and other related government agencies.
Applicable Routes
JAL Group domestic routes from Tokyo (Haneda) and Osaka (Itami/Kansai)
Conditions
Up to 100,000 seats will be offered but the number of available seats is limited and may not be applicable on some routes, flights and dates.
Campaign Launch Date
Late-February 2020 (Subject to Change)
Boarding Period
Departing on/after July 1, 2020
Travel must be completed by September 30, 2020
Reservation Application Deadline
7 days before the first flight. Itinerary must be completed within 10 days of the first flight.
Eligible Participants
1) Residence must be outside of Japan. Passenger must hold a passport issued by a country other than Japan, or a Japanese passport holder with the right of permanent residence of a country other than Japan
2) Traveling in Japan between July and September 2020
3) Must be a JAL Mileage Bank member. However, members registered in Japan are excluded
