Delta Sky Club and new Haneda routes coming for Tokyo-bound customers in 2020

Flights from seven U.S. cities now available to book as Delta becomes largest U.S. carrier to downtown Tokyo’s closest airport

Delta customers can now book travel from seven U.S. cities to Tokyo’s Haneda Airport, including new service from Seattle, Detroit, Atlanta, Honolulu, and Portland, Ore. beginning March 28, 2020, as well as Delta’s existing service from Minneapolis/St. Paul and Los Angeles. With the launch of these new routes, Delta will become the largest U.S. carrier serving Tokyo’s closest and most convenient airport.

Just in time for summer, Delta will open a new Delta Sky Club in Haneda, with nearly 9,000 sq. ft. for guests to enjoy. While still in initial design phases, the Club will feature:

International and Japanese seasonal food offerings that are rotated regularly for customers, including healthy options
A full-service bar that includes complimentary drinks, along with seasonal cocktails and wine selected by Delta's Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson on the premium bar menu
Unique design elements and artwork throughout the Club reflecting the region culture and history
High-speed Wi-Fi, comfortable seating and power outlets at nearly every seat
Shower suites

The HND Club is part of a long-term effort to expand the award-winning Delta Sky Club experience across the network, including a new Club at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport coming later this year, more seating and a redesigned food and bar experience at the John F. Kennedy International Airport Terminal 4 Club, and new Salt Lake City International Airport and Los Angeles International Airport Clubs coming in 2020 and 2021. Over the past several years, Delta also opened new Clubs at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and a refreshed Club at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, along with new award-winning flagship clubs at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

Tokyo flights will feature premium products, industry-leading service and reliability, and convenient connections to communities throughout the U.S.

In addition to nonstop flights for seven U.S. cities, Delta’s robust domestic network allows for convenient one-stop connectivity for 99 percent of travellers flying between Tokyo and the entire United States. This includes new twice-daily service beginning April 1 between Las Vegas and Portland, Ore., which will be timed for customers to easily connect on to Delta’s new Portland-Haneda flight.

On flights to and from Atlanta, Detroit, Los Angeles, Minneapolis/St. Paul and Seattle, Delta One customers will enjoy award-winning Delta One suites that offer a private, personal experience, with a full-height door at every suite for enhanced privacy and comfort. These flights also offer the Delta Premium Select product. Designed with comfort in mind, Delta Premium Select offers more personal space with up to 38 inches of pitch, seat width of 18.5 inches, up to seven inches of recline, and adjustable leg and head rests. Customers on the new Honolulu and Portland, Ore. service will enjoy our premium Delta One experience, which includes a dedicated in-cabin flight attendant and 180-degree flat-bed seats with direct-aisle access.

All cabins on flights enjoy complimentary meals, snacks and beverages, including meals for all customers created in partnership with Michelin consulting chef Norio Ueno. Delta One customers enjoy the ability to pre-select first choice of entrée. This November, Delta is launching a first-of-its-kind bistro-style international Main Cabin experience featuring welcome cocktails, hot-towel service and mix-and-match options for premium appetizers and larger entrees. All seats on all flights also offer personal entertainment systems with free entertainment, free mobile messaging, Wi-Fi for purchase, upgraded amenity kits and more.

New Seoul-Incheon to Manila service also begins in 2020

Delta is also launching new service next year from Seoul to Manila, operated using an Airbus A330-900neo with premium products and service including all four Delta seat products: Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin.

Together with joint venture partner Korean Air, customers travelling to and from Manila can reach more than 290 destinations in the Americas and over 80 destinations in Asia through the partnership’s award-winning hub at Seoul-Incheon (ICN).
