IT failure causing check-in delays at Manchester Airport

A major IT failure is causing delays and frustrations for passengers at the UK's Manchester Airport, with some travellers complaining that had been waiting to check-in for more than three hours, and long queues have built up.

The IT meltdown is affecting passengers in all three of the airport's terminals and causing headaches for staff and airlines as some are resorting to checking passengers in manually. 

The airport said, "We are investigating an IT issue that is currently affecting check-in and our teams are working hard to rectify the problem. We apologise to passengers for any inconvenience caused and will provide an update as soon as possible."
