Delta and Aeromexico joined with the Austin community to celebrate one of Mexico's most colourful traditions: Dia de Los Muertos - The Day of the Dead. The teams gathered in the heart of Texas over the weekend to be part of the Viva la Vida Festival. The celebration included the Mojigangas Parade with gigantic sculptures of calacas (skulls) in advance of the celebration of Dia de los Muertos, traditionally observed on Nov. 1 and 2.
The Delta and Aeromexico teams had their own Dia de los Muertos communal altar and gave away special edition T-shirts. The festival, organized by the Mexic-Arte Museum, has been held for 36 years, making it the longest-running and largest Dia de los Muertos festival in the Texas capital.

Delta and Aeromexico participated in events across the United States to commemorate Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15-Oct. 15) and support the traditions of communities the airlines serve together.
