Air Botswana took delivery of an Embraer E170 at the very end of last year to operate on its Cape Town-Gaborone route it has been reported. The aircraft, registration N734A arrived in Gaborone on Monday, December 31st and formally belonged to Saudi Aramco Aviation. The aircraft will be joined by a second E170, registration N735A, which is currently in Canada awaiting delivery to the company.
Air Botswana is currently engaged in a process of modernising its aircraft fleet and has recently taken delivery of two ATR72-600s turboprop aircraft.
