United Airlines has become the first U.S. carrier to take Coronavirus COVID-19 vaccines into Ghana


The U.S. mega carrier, United has become the first U.S. carrier to take COVID-19 vaccines into Ghana with the support of its partners at UNICEF and DSV. This past weekend, the airline has flown over 1 million doses of vaccines from Washington Dulles (IAD) to Accra (ACC) for local distribution.

Providing equitable access to COVID-19 vaccines is key to bringing this pandemic to an end. United is honoured to be a part of UNICEF’s Humanitarian Initiative, COVAX and is committed to doing everything it can to bring these critically needed shipments to communities all over the world.
