Lufthansa Technik has confirmed on Monday that it had just signed a contract with the Indian carrier, Vistara - TATA SIA Airlines Ltd. for on line maintenance support for their Boeing 787-9 in Frankfurt for a period of two years.
Vistara completed its first flight from Delhi to Frankfurt with this aircraft type in February. Furthermore, Vistara is the latest CFM Leap-1A customer from the Asia Pacific region sending an engine to Lufthansa Technik's Hamburg base for a Quick Engine Change build up.
Vistara, a joint venture of TATA group India and Singapore Airlines, is India's premium full-service carrier and the only 5-star rated airline in India. Lufthansa Technik was already supporting the airline with services for their whole fleet including components for the Boeing 787, single component services, ad hoc composites repairs, consumables supply and AOG support for their Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 fleets.
