9000 lunch boxes donated by Air France

In the event of operating irregularities (delays, flight cancellations, etc.*) and when the restaurants are closed, Air France offers lunchboxes to customers waiting at the airport. These light snacks mainly comprise long-life foods such as tabbouleh vegetable salad, tuna pâté or puréed fruit drinks.

As a result of our reduced operations caused by the Covid-19 health crisis over the past few months, a stock of close to 9,000 lunchboxes, which were initially ordered for customers departing from Paris-Charles de Gaulle, has not been used.

Therefore, in an effort to avoid wasting these food products and out of solidarity, Air France decided to donate them to the Restos du Coeur charity restaurants, who appreciated this initiative. Two lunchbox collections were organized on 18 and 26 August, in coordination with Air France staff and the Restos du Coeur teams.

In line with its commitment to offering a responsible travel experience, Air France is pleased to have been able to support the Restos du Coeur charity in the Seine-et-Marne department with this donation of meals that will be distributed to those most in need.
