Delta recognized as one of 50 most community-minded companies in U.S. by Points of Light

Delta has been named an honoree of The Civic 50 by Points of Light, the world's largest organization dedicated to volunteer service, for the third consecutive year. The award recognizes Delta as one of the 50 most community-minded companies in the United States – the only airline to make the list.

"Connecting the world by giving back to the communities where we live, work and serve is core to Delta's culture, and we are honoured to be named to the Points of Light Civic 50 for the third year for the contributions Delta and our employees make year-round to help make the world a better place," said Tad Hutcheson, Delta's Managing Director - Community Engagement.

The Civic 50 provides a national standard for superior corporate citizenship and showcases how companies can use their time, skills and other resources to improve their communities. Civic 50 honorees are public and private companies with U.S. operations and are selected based on four dimensions of their U.S. community engagement programs: investment, integration, institutionalization and impact.

"Points of Light believes that now more than ever, companies must drive transformative social change around the world," said Natalye Paquin, President and CEO of Points of Light. "We thank Delta Air Lines for their investment and look forward to supporting them in innovating and expanding this work."

The Civic 50 survey was administered by True Impact, a company helping organizations maximize and measure their social and business value. The Civic 50 is the only ranking system that exclusively measures corporate involvement in communities.
