The Latvian government-sponsored airBaltic has confirmed that on May 6 it will perform a flight to and from Oslo and on May 7 – to and from Helsinki to provide transportation services to entrepreneurs whose employees need to return to Latvia.  The repatriation charter flights are being operated on behalf of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Latvia. These flights one way will be able to transport up to 141 passengers.

Passengers arriving from virus affected territories are obliged to stay at home quarantine for 14 days.

On April 7 the Government of the Republic of Latvia made a decision to extend the period of safety measures, including travel restrictions and the suspension of international air traffic, in order to limit the spread of Coronavirus. All airBaltic prior scheduled connections are temporarily suspended until May 12, 2020, inclusive, including operations of airBaltic from Estonia and Lithuania.
