Wizz Air cuts scores of Italian flights.

Photo Luton Airport
Wizz Air, the largest low-cost carrier in Central and Eastern Europe has made major changes to its route schedule due to decreasing demand on its Italian routes because of the ongoing Corronavirus COVID-19 outbreak.

The airline is making a significant amount of cancellations on specific routes to Northern Italy between March 11 and April 2 2020, during this period around 60% of its total Italian capacity is being axed.

The airline says that passengers with bookings on affected flights during that period will be automatically informed and re-accommodated on alternative routes Customers who have booked directly on wizzair.com or the airline’s mobile app will receive an email notification, in which they are offered the free rebooking or full refund or 120% refund of the original fare in airline credit.
