‘I’m going to stab everyone on this plane’...... 27-year-old Dana Mustafa shouted on a flight from Frankfurt to Washington DC's Dulles International Airport on Saturday 22nd February
According to court documents, Mustafa, set off a smoke detector in one of the toilets after lighting up a cigarette, according to court documents. Media reports indicate she was told she couldn't smoke and was instructed to return to her seat and during which, she started to cry. Later she was later observed walking to the rear of the aircraft while striking up a lighter. Members of the cabin crew tried to prevent her from entering a toilet, she is then said to have pushed a flight attendant and tried to close the door. It was then that two US Federal Air Marshalls onboard the jet intervened. Mustafa is accused of kicking them and refusing to comply, as well as resisting while being handcuffed.
Once restrained, Mustafa said: “I’m going to stab everyone on this plane. Then kill myself. I’m Palestinian! That’s how we get down. - What’s the point of living?” A half-drunk bottle of vodka was found in her back and Mustafa is now facing charges of assaulting a federal officer.
