flynas Officially Joins the International Air Transport Association

flynas, the Saudi national air carrier and leading low-cost airline in the Middle East, has officially announced joining the International Air Transport Association (IATA), which culminates its remarkable journey of developing services and internal operations and achieving top security and safety standards.

In this regard, the Chief Operating Officer at flynas Captain Mansoor Al-Harbi expressed his delight with the airline’s acquisition of the IATA membership, stating that it will enable greater cooperation with other member aviation companies through codeshare agreements and internal connectivity, and will consequently contribute towards enhancing services that enrich guests’ experiences with flynas and provide them with a seamless travel experience to and from Saudi Arabia.

Additionally, Captain Al-Harbi highlighted new opportunities to be presented by the IATA membership enabling flynas to share expertise with its counterparts around the world, further strengthening its position within the global air transport industry, and facilitating its access to global knowledge and best practices. He also stressed that the membership would enable flynas to participate alongside specialized work groups to review and develop aviation policies and procedures.

Notably, flynas had acquired IATA membership after it had accomplished the IOSA Program registration, which is an internationally accepted evaluation process of an airline’s operational and safety management and control systems. IOSA is the main benchmark in operational safety for all airlines around the world, and earning it is a prerequisite for obtaining an IATA membership.
